I had a really great workout last night after work. Then things just got weird. Our neighborhood is gated and there was a car infront of me and I thought I could make it through the gate after them, but I was wrong, then I was past the point of the card reader and then my car just shut off. It started right back up again, but it was weird. I went to get the mail and my sunglasses fell off my head and broke, but I fixed them. I was boiling water that had milk and butter in it and it overflowed and now it is burned on to the cooktop and I don't know how to get it off. I went down last night to let the dogs out and the ants were back on the kitchen counter and it really disgusts me and makes me not want to eat or make food in there. The neighbors behind us has 2 dogs, and for some reason one of the dogs barked for 3 hours straight. Finally at 11pm it stopped. I don't think the owners were home. Going to have to do something about that if it continues. Glad Brewski and Bobby Lee aren't like that. Really tired this morning, just didn't sleep well. Getting bigger by the day and the whole not having clothes that fit is so annoying I can't stand it. Got the bill for our home insurance and found out this morning it has been paid in full. Which we didn't do, but I guess our mortgage company did. Still not sure exactly how that happened, but I do know that we get a $128 refund, but I'm not sure for what.
I need to call the bug guy and set up an appointment for him to come out and spray the house and take care of the ant problem. Need to call the garage door company back and see if they can come out and put a sensor on the door and get us another remote. Finally got most of our clothes put away and hung up last night. There is still a lot of odd little things that need to be done around the house. Let this week go by faster please, need those 3 days off :)

4 day week!
One thing to look forward to is it's a 4 day week for me, thank goodness for holiday weekends. Don't have any plans for the fourth. Luke will be working for the 3rd straight year of 4th of July holidays. Last year at this time I was in Colorado visiting Jason. Definitely one of the best trips I have ever done. The white water rafting was so fun. I can't wait for a time when I will be able to do it again. In one month I will be home, I can't wait to see everyone. We got our furniture delivered on Friday. Everything looks great. I need to start hanging up all the pictures now. Unfortunately we are having an ant situation in our kitchen. I thought I had got it taken care of. But apparently not because they were all over the counter this morning. It makes me not want to even eat from that kitchen. Overall it was a pretty productive weekend. I got a lot done and still found time to relax on the couch. Luke and I took Joe out to dinner on Friday night to a place called Montana Ave. To celebrate him being accepted into the academy. It was really good food. However the people sitting at the table next to us were annoying and rude, well in partcularly the guy. But it made the dinner that much more entertaining. The dogs are doing great. We thought Brewski wasn't going to be able to jump up on the couch, but he finally did on Sunday. I thought I was going to have to buy him doggy steps just so he could get up and down. He is just lazy. The baby has been kicking quite a bit these days. Sometimes suprisingly hard and it seems to be a lot during the afternoons and evenings. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing yet. I guess as long as it's not in the middle of the night it can't be too bad.

Very sad week
They say it happens in 3's...first it was Ed McMahon on Tuesday and then yesterday morning Farrah Fawcett and yesterday afternoon Michael Jackson. All famous people that I grew up watching and listening to. Michael Jackson is probably the sadest for me. I grew up to his music and still to this day listen to his songs on my I-Pod. It's sad that he has 3 kids who now have no father. As weird as he might have seemed, it was said that he was a very good dad and very good with his kids. I don't think anyone will ever understand the kind of life that he had and it was said to be a very lonely one. Today the radio station is doing a tribute to MJ and playing his songs, I like hearing all the old songs, Thriller, Bad, Beat It, P.Y.T, Billie Jean, which is probably my favorite. I remember I used to watch the Thriller video over and over and I would get excited whenever it came on TV. Very, very sad, he definitely did not seem like he was 50 years old, that is still young to me.
On a lighter note, today we get our furniture delivered, I have been talking about it all week. I am so very excited to see it and arrange everything and have a nice relaxing weekend on the new big leather couch. I think the monsoon season has finally arrived, it feels a little more humid and has been rainy that past couple of days with chances of thunderstorms, I have been waiting for this for like 3 months now.

All registered and ready to go
We got all registered last night at Babies R Us...even though I had done some of it already online it was still overwhelming. But I think we pretty much got everything we need, hopefully. Very overwhelming that Babies R Us is...still need to get the crib and changing table picked out and purchased, but we still have plenty of time. I decided yesterday that the theme of the nursery is going to be Safari. I picked out a crib set that has all safari animals on it and it has a matching mobile, and a couple blankets. I'm getting more excited now. AND I think Luke and I have decided on a first name, and I really like it. But it is a secret for now :) Still need to come up with a middle name. I worked out last night for the first time in I think 3 months. It was a good workout, did some cardio and strenght training, got to see a lot of people who I had not seen in a while and they were all very surprised to see how I looked now. I am working out again today, trying to keep a 5 day schedule with at least 30 mintues of cardio everyday. My arms are actually sore, forgot what that actually feels like it has been so long.

Registering today
Today I am starting to workout again...pretty excited about it and just the fact that I feel well enough to be somewhat active. I have some good pregnancy exercises to work on. Then afterwards Luke and I are going to go register for the baby shower. Hopefully that won't take too long, I have done a lot of it online already so we just have to add a few more things. I went to Target last night in the hopes of finding some clothes, I found some tops and bought some maternity shorts, but I don't like them at all and I will never wear them, so I have to return them. I just need to go to the Maternity store in the mall to find a couple pair of shorts or capris or something. My mom is ordering the invitations for the shower, they sound very cute. It's just around the corner, I did buy my flight yesterday for the trip. I'm excited to see Anne and hopefully baby Tennery as well as a couple other of my friends who have had babies that I have not met yet, and of course my class reunion should be fun to see everyone there. And my close friends and family who will be at the shower :)

Tuesday
Luke is finally back home, thankfully he had Kelsey make of list of absolute musts that I will need for the baby. Which is really helpful, because it is a bit overwhelming. Now we just need to go register and I need to book my flight. It's only about a month away. Luke's mom Barb gave him 3 different shirts that she had kept from when he was little. They are so cool :) We still have to decide on a name. I think because my shower is much earlier then it would normally be that I keep thinking we need to get the nursery done, but we have some time to get that furniture and get it ready. It is starting to get hot again, I guess it's about that time, it gets really hot and then the monsoons come and it's not so bad. 4th of July is next weekend, which means we have a 4 day work week next week, which is nice, alwasys look forward to those. Too bad Luke has to work this year on the 4th :( We get our new furniture delivered this Friday. I am very excited about that. The house is finally coming together. Can't wait for the big couch it should be really comfortable. Big couch to go with the big TV!

Finally Friday
Thank goodness it is finally Friday. I didn't want to come into work at all today. I have so much more to do at the house and I would rather be home getting it done. I did however finally get everything in the kitchen put away and somewhat cleaned up. Tonight I need to focus on the bedroom...I still can't find half of my clothes but did finally find my hair dryer last night...I had been going the whole week without drying my hair...not a good look. The cable guy comes tomorrow, so I will at least have cable in the bedroom, I can finally stop my movie marathon. I think I have watched all my seasons of Sex and the City. Today is a cloudy overcast day. I look forward to those days, especially when it has been really hot. It made the house look different and actually made me sleep in longer because it was so dark in the room. The dogs woke me up at 345 this morning to go outside. I had trouble going back to sleep, I hate that. But I still made it work on time:) I'm ready for Luke to be back. I was so looking forward to him being gone and just having time to do whatever at my own pace, but now there is just still so much that needs to be done that I wish he was here to help me with it. Sunday is Father's day...Luke and Joe will be back around 5pm. So no big plans for that day. But I will remember to tell him Happy Father's Day...unlike him not remembering to tell me Happy Mother's Day...I actually had to remind him LOL! :)

It's a Boy!
Had the big appointment yesterday and found out we are going to be having a boy. I know Luke is really excited...I am too :) Of course all the guys in the family our happy :) Now I can actually go out and buy gender specific stuff and figure out what I want to do with the nursery and of course decide on a name, the most important thing. I have a few in mind that I like.
So all in all today has been a good day, Erika is going to get me Chick-fil-a for lunch, I have not had it in forever, so I am really excited about that. I hope tonight I finally get some work done on the house and start really unpacking stuff. I want it to be in some kind of order once he guys get back. I'm excited for the new TV to be delivered on Saturday, I plan on watching a good movie Saturday night. Luke has been sending me pics of Abram, he is so darn cute, getting a lot bigger too. Can't wait to meet him in person:)

Big day today!
Last night I finally went to the grocery store and cooked our first dinner in the new house. It was only sloppy joe, mac n cheese and cole slaw...but it still counts. Then we watched Gran Torino...it was a really good movie. Luke and Joe were packing for Indy, they left the house about 4am this morning and won't be back until Sunday. This morning I had tiny ants in my kitchen. They were all over a soda can that was empty on the counter. I need to get the whole house sprayed. Then I leave and realize I forgot my lunch, so turn around, luckily I was not out of the neighborhood yet, but as I am walking back in the garage I discover a pretty big lizard just hanging out in the garage. It wasn't like the little lizards that you see everywhere around here...this thing was too big to just be hanging out in the garage...so I took a mop and shooed it out of the garage...all this and it wasn't even 7am yet. Today is going to be a long day at work, I just know it. My appointment is not until 4pm today. Not sure how long the appointment will take, but I have a whole list of people that I have to call and text as soon as I can. Exciting day just wish I could find out sooner.

Shopping Spree
Yesterday Luke and I went on a crazy shopping spree. First we went out to lunch at Sonic...I seem to be on a chili cheese hotdog kick...as long as I can eat that stuff and it doesn't give me heartburn I am going to enjoy it. Then we went to Levitz because they have been having great deals on furniture and it ended yesterday so we wanted to take advantage of it. We bought a nice leather sectional for the great room with a matching ottoman and an end table and then decided to get a 3 piece kitchen table as well. Got a really great deal on everything and was very pleased with such a big purchase. Then we went to Best Buy because Luke wanted to get a new flat screen TV for the great room as well. Once again Best Buy was also having a great financing deal so we took advantage of it and he got his 55 inch super flat screen which gets delivered on Saturday. I'm actually really excited about getting that too. The house is slowly coming together, I work on it a little bit at a time each day. I'm sure by next week I will have most of it situated and cleaned. But we are really loving it more and more each day and I think looking forward to spending a long time in this house. Now the next focus is getting furniture for the baby's room. Registering for the shower alone I think will be a daunting task. I was telling my mom the other day I have no idea what I really need, or what is essential to have right away.
Hopefully we get everything we need and I guess we should start buying diapers now to stock up, no harm in doing that. OH I almost forgot we also went to Home Depot yesterday because we had to buy a big mirror for the master bathroom and then Luke got carried away and started buying tree trimmers and hedge trimmers and a small saw. The yard needs some work done to it. I was just glad that we was excited to buy that type of stuff. Getting the giant mirror home was very interesting and funny. It wouldn't fit in the back seat of Luke's car so we put it in the trunk I sat in the back seat with the middle seat pulled down so that I could hold on to the mirror while Luke drove with the trunk wide open. I was a bit nervous the trunk would come slamming down on the mirror, luckily we didn't have far to drive. It was funny though, I made him put his hazzards on and I kept yelling everytime the trunk came close to touching the mirror. In the end we made it to the house safely and Luke immediately started using his tree trimmer and started cutting at this big mesquite tree we have in our back yard and he pulled weeds and I just sat there with the dogs and watched him. It was nice. I like doing yard work too and I think I will enjoy it more too once I can start doing that stuff again. All in all it was a really really hectic but very fun day. We get the new furniture delivered at the end of this month, I can't wait!

The new house
It was a nail biter last Friday that is for sure...in fact I actually did bite off all my nails awaiting to find out if we were going to get keys to the new house on Friday. And yes, we did and we started moving stuff over there that night. We took the dogs over Friday night to let them run around and run up and down the stairs. Well Bobby had never seen stairs before, he was scared at first, but finally got the hang of it and maybe loved them a little too much. I was bringing some stuff inside the house from my car and I'm standing at the bottome of the stairs and all of the sudden Bobby comes flying down so fast that he slid on the tile at the bottom of the stairs and hit the side of his head into the wall so hard that he was acutally dazed for a few seconds. I actually wasn't sure if he was ok at first. I picked him up immediately and after a few minutes he seemed to be back to his normal self and didn't try going back up the stairs the rest of that night. He definitely learned his lesson, becasue then on Saturday he was scared to even go up them and then came down them very slowly. We laugh about it now, he is such a silly dog.
We got most of the stuff moved in on Saturday and just had one more truck load of stuff on Sunday morning. And now the new house looks like a tornado went through it. There is just stuff everywhere. Unfortunately I was not a whole lot of help this weekend with moving stuff. I was doing good to just be able to clean for 30 minutes without something hurting or aching. It will be a slow process getting everything in it's place but it will happen eventually. Lucky for me Joe and Luke are going back to Indy on Wednesday for 5 days, so I get a little break and can just do whatever...it will be nice. We did get a new washer and dryer, the front loading kind, they are really nice and really quiet. Got those delivered on Saturday, you couldn't even hear the washer when it was running...I love it! Today we are going to look at some furniture and a TV...not sure if anything will actually get purchased today, but we are gonna go check things out and see what kind of deals we can find. Unfortunately I have to go a whole week or longer without any cable...looks like I will be watching A LOT of movies while the guys are gone. I guess it will give me an excuse to spend more time on things around the house. We have a lot busy times ahead...but it should all be fun:)

Waiting for those darn keys
Just sitting here at work, eating my lunch, wishing this day would go by a little bit faster.
Still have not gotten the keys to the new house. I pray it happens today, because otherwise this whole weekend will go to a waste. Luke is off today and out and about running important errands, I wish I could be doing the same. The HUD report has to be approved by Flagstarr and then recorded and then we can (fingers crossed) get our keys today. Then hopefully tonight I can start cleaning the house and at least get that part out of the way. i'm just realizing that I need to get registered for my baby shower soon, and the thought of that is very overwhelming...I need someone to go with me who knows what I will really be needing, because I am clueless. Found out yesterday that Joe, Luke's brother got an official job offer from TPD...his academy will be starting after July 4th and he plans on moving in with another friend of ours. I'm sure he will appreciate having his bed and his own room with his stuff. Luke is out looking at new washer and dryers and new tv's and new leather sectionals. I'm actually looking forward to having a brand new washer and dryer and the front loading kind...maybe I will actually enjoy doing laundry for once and do it more often.

Dog day Thursday
Today I decided to bring Brewski and Bobby Lee into work, but not just because, we actually have a cleaning company cleaning the house and I didn't want the dogs to be shut outside all day, so I thought I would bring them here to keep me company. So far they are being pretty good, Bobby keeps barking every time someone walks by. I have them gated in my corner, Bobby is actually finally asleep now and Brewski is sitting on my lap where he has been all morning but that is no surprise. I am super tired this morning...and ready for this week to be over and just get moved already. I go home and pack but yet I don't feel like I am getting much accomplished. It's so frustrating...ready to be out of this house and into the new one.
Hopefully we get those keys by late Friday, otherwise we are looking at getting keys on Monday

One big day...
Well...today was the big day...or I guess one big day of many more to come. We signed for our house....but that was it...no keys and the closing is not final. The sellers live out of state and therefore everything must be overnighted to them then they have to sign and overnight it back and that is only good if we even get the keys by Friday. As long as everything gets recorded before 5pm on Friday, we are good to go. We thought we were going to be able to move in Friday...that looks like that is not gonna happen. And it could get pushed back to Monday...which really really, sucks because then, Luke leaves on Wednesday for his Indy trip. I have never been so overwhelmed by so much that is going on. Lots of packing to still do. Luckily I got all the utilities set up and ready to go. We just need to get the Direct TV set up. and buy a washer and dryer and buy a mirror for the master bathroom.

Great News
It's barely 8am and I already have gotten good news...our loan is approved and now we are hopefully going to be signing papers tomorrow and getting the keys which means we will probably be moving on Friday, because that is when Luke is off work and all his buddies will be able to help us. And we also have to buy a washer and dryer. The packing needs to get done, we are not even close...looks like that is what I will be doing all night tonight, wish I could take time off work to pack...oh well. A lot to get done in the next week. It should be interesting, hopefully I won't get too tired too quickly. Just the thought of cleaning the new house is making me tired:) Oh well...

The date is set
A week from Wednesday, June 17th... is when we will be finding out the sex of the baby. However unfortunately this is also the day that Luke leaves to go back to Indy for a 5 day visit.
I tried to reschedule, but then it would push up back to June 30th. After talking with Luke we both decided that we just want to know instead of waiting longer. So that is exciting can't wait to finally know! We have finally started packing things, and we should hopefully be moving this weekend if not sooner, I hope for the sooner, there is just so much that has to be done. Ameena was here this past weekend and we had a great time, shopping and eating lots of good food. The weekend went by way too fast, but it was a good visit. Hopefully after this month things will settle down just a bit...

Walking disaster
Last night I decided I needed to start being more active...and hopefully soon get back in the gym a few times a week. So after eating my favorite Mexican food from Nico's I took both boys on a walk. First I had to put their collars on...as I hold Bobby down to put his on he proceeds to pee all over my favorite brown plush blanket. Then I find Brewski and have to bribe him with a treat to get him to hold still so I can put his on. I grab both of them and the leashes and carry them to the laundry room. We no longer had walked around the corner of the house and Bobby proceeds to use the bathroom...so I go grab a plastic bag in the garage pick it up and throw it away. Bobby leads the way the whole time while I might as well be dragging Brewski...he has gotten fat and lazy. Brewski stops at one point and then Bobby's leash comes out of my hand and Bobby takes off running down the sidewalk...so at this point I am yelling for Bobby, dragging Brewski and running down the sidewalk...luckily Bobby stopped, thank God. And we were back on track. Both boys were tired and we hadn't even gone around the block. I don't know who was hating the walk more them or me. Needless to say, it didn't last very long...and now I think I will stick to walking at the gym instead of with them. This morning Bobby woke me up about 30 minutes before my alarm was going to go off and he peed on me and the bed. I was not happy...I don't understand why he doesn't get down off the bed or try to tell me in a different way that he needs to go out. Not a good way to start the morning at all. I thought he was getting better with his potty training, but apparently not. I am so ready to move to the new house. Thankfully Luke went and bought some boxes yesterday...but now I have to put them together before I can begin to pack and I still have not packed a darn thing. I would rather lay around and finish reading New Moon or watch some kind of reality TV show that is on. I need some motivation. Luckily Ameena is coming to visit this weekend, she gets in late Thursday night and I took Friday off and then she leaves on Sunday. So it should be a nice weekend while she is here, I can't wait.

Introduction of us
This is the first blog I have ever done. I decided to start a blog for the purpose of keeping our friends and family up to date on what is going on in our lives as well as something to look back on to read and remember some of the most exciting, scary, happy and memorable times.
Most of you know or should know that Luke and I have been married since October 2008, we have been together going on 9 years this coming December. We moved out to Tucson, AZ in 2006 and love it so far. We have two Chihuahuas that we absolutely love...Brewski and Bobby Lee. Bobby Lee being the newest addition this past Christmas. And as of February we found out that we are expecting our first child mid November. Just recently as in the last 2 weeks we have bought our first home...have not moved in just yet, hopefully within the next couple of weeks that will happen. So a lot of exciting things are going on right now. And all in the midst of a hot summer starting out here in Tucson. I will try to keep this blog updated as much as possible.
