Birthday and Christmas shopping

I have already begun the madness of shopping for Nash's Birthday and Christmas, I figure might as well get started now, and that way I don't have to spend too much money at one time. I did buy Nash his first set of golf clubs. It may be a little too early for him to play at age 1, but this is so he can say he started playing at the age of 1, when he becomes the next Tiger, all of course according to his Dad. We finally got our trees trimmed and our house actually looks bigger and we have a yard, it is awesome. The guys that did it were really nice and he is going to come back and get rid of some of the heavy weeds and trim up a few more things. Very exciting :) It actually makes me want to plant a garden or something:) or at the least get started on my little oasis that I want back there, for sure a fire pit or chimnera. Not sure we allowed to have fire pits, guess I should check with the HOA before I get too carried away. It was another hot, hot weekend, but you can start to feel the humidity get stronger, which means monsoons on the way. I pray it is not too bad this year, because we have leaks in two of our windows down stairs. Our schedule is pretty much back to normal, it will be even more so after Joe leaves this week. Sad to see him go, I know all the boys in my house will miss him a lot! :(
But it's not the end of the world, we will see him again, in about another 6months or so.
It's actually a nice stress reliever not to have to worry about being home for Christmas this year, now I have to worry about where I'm gonna put our Christmas tree and how many ornaments Nash is going to pull off:)

Going to see David Grey and Ray LaMontagne

My wonderful husband took care of getting us tickets to David Grey and Ray LaMontagne for their show up in Phoenix September 1st.
I am so excited for this concert, it has literally been years over 4 years for sure since I will have been to a concert, and I get to go to two big ones less then a month a part from each other. I just need to get through July and August will be here and I can't wait. Lucky for me I have been staying busy at work, which is nice, even though the paycheck doesn't show it. But that is ok, I'm getting on track with things. I did consider taking on a part time job..but I just can't stand the thought of less time with Nash. I have already started buying him stuff for his birthday, I figure if I get a little bit each month then by the time I get to November I will have all kinds of presents for him a whole wagon full hopefully, well at least that is the idea. I want to buy a red wagon and just fill it with toys..I seriously can't wait for his 1st birthday, the planner in me is just totally jumping the gun on this one, but I can't help myself, I want it to be perfect for him especially since we are so far away from our big families. Big 4th of July plans for the Gossett family will be to go to the park where they have fireworks and music and hopefully food. This will be the first 4th of July since Luke became TPD that we will get to do something and of course Nash's first time seeing fireworks, hopefully it doesn't freak him out.

it's been a minute

Time has gone by way too fast...barely find the time to blog. Went home to Indy about 3 weeks ago. Didn't get to see everyone on this trip, but we'll be back sometime over the winter around the holidays. It was a fun trip, but they always go by waaay too fast. I was surprised I was actually able to fit all the toys and gifts that people bought Nash, in my suitcase for the flight back. Amazingly Nash did great on both the flights to Indy, but coming back was a different story. He as loud, too tired for his own good, but we got through it and I got through with no help. But we were very happy to see Dad once we landed in Tucson. It's always nice to get back on a routine, especially with a 7 month old. It's been a year since we moved into our house, time has just flown by so fast, it's crazy. We still have the big task of tackling the back yard and making it my little oasis in the desert. The good news is that we have some guys coming to finally trim the crazy trees that we have. That needed to be done a year ago. Luke and I had a date night this past Saturday, we did dinner and a movie, yesterday was Father's Day so, Luke worked half the day and then watched Golf the rest of it. I cleaned all day and cooked dinner for him and Joe.
Nash has been a crazy man lately, he is getting so big and is wanting to crawl everywhere and just doesn't want to sit still. I'm already thinking about things I want to get him for his 1st birthday.
The next big adventure is Em and Jess coming out here in August and our road trip to San Diego for 3 days and the DMB concert. I am so ready for a girls trip, it is going to be so much fun, can't wait! I'm still doing Boot Camp, pretty much lost all my baby weight, now just need to tone up, but I'm happy with where I'm at. Boot Camp outside in 100 degree whether you're bound to sweat some of that unwanted weight off :) I'm not going to continue next month, it's just getting too expensive, I will go back to my gym routine and hopefully stick with the good diet and keep this weight off. I have been riding my bike again, in fact I actually ride my bike to Boot Camp class, a nice little warm up before class and cool down after wards. The summer heat has begun and it has been hot, but bearable. I just hope our electric bill is nothing like it was last summer now that we have those sun screens hopefully that will help us this year.

headed to Indy tomorrow

Tomorrow is the big day, my first solo trip with Nash back home to Indy.
Nervous of how he is going to do on the plane as well making my connection on time, hopefully I will have plenty of time to change his diaper in Dallas and grab some food as well.
I hope the taking off and landing doesn't bother his ears too much and that he is just overall a good baby, holding for 2 hours straight and then another 2 hours is going to be tough, he is a little wiggle worm right now. Lots planned once we get in town, it's going to be a busy but fun week, and as usual, it will go by way too fast, as it always does. I'm continuing boot camp for the month of June, even though I am missing 3 classes while I am gone. I figure this will be my last month, then I will go back to my old workout regimen but really try to stick with the diet.
Had a good weekend, saw Sex and the City 2, it was alright, I liked the first one a lot better.
Enjoyed my Memorial Day off from work, got most of my packing done and did another fit test last night at class. I actually rode my bike down to the park for class, I'm gonna try to start doing that as much as I can. I miss riding that bike :)
