Friday

It's finally Friday! Even though I only worked 3 days this week, it still felt like a long week.
I'm having a better morning then yesterday. Looking forward to relaxing tonight and sleeping in tomorrow. I really need to get back on the working out wagon, I have been slacking. Hopefully next week once I'm back full time and have some kind of schedule going I can work out a couple times during the work week and on the weekends too. I'm really ready for some warmer weather, at least up in the 70's...I don't have a whole lot of winter clothes anymore, and nothing really that fits right now. Still struggling with that baby weight. Luckily work has been really busy which is nice and it makes the day go by so much faster. Got some birthday money in the mail last night, gonna cash it today and spend it soon :)

Bad morning

Rough morning to start out this Thursday...woke up later then I had planned on. Nash woke up about 10 mins before I needed to be out the door. I went ahead and made the bottle, Luke was complaining he had gotten only 2 hours of sleep, so I said I would feed him. While burping he proceeded to spit up all over the back of the sweater jacket I was wearing. I changed him, changed his clothes, got a new jacket for me, but Nash was still not happy and wouldn't go back to sleep, so I had to wake Luke up and let him know I had to go and he was going to have to handle the situation. I left in such a hurry I forgot to get my cell phone out of the pocket of the sweater that I left on the floor that Nash spit up on...I also forgot to put my wedding band back on and I feel completely naked all day without that thing on my hand...and not having my cell phone with me, well it might as well be the end of the world...how did we survive without them before, because I don't remember! I skipped taking a lunch today because I am leaving at 2pm when Luke drops Nash off on his way to work. Thanks goodness, because I need some food, caffeine and a nap, I am exhausted! The good news is two more days and it's my birthday, and Luke took off work on Saturday so that we can go out to dinner or something and Uncle Joe is babysitting the little booger for us :) So thankful for that.

Last 3 day week and Colts are going to the SB!

It's my last 3 day week of technically still being on maternity leave. I enjoyed my last week day off yesterday by laying around and being lazy and doing absolutely nothing, which wasn't the original plan, but I enjoyed it. Luckily I got Nash to bed by about 11:30 and I had one of those nights where I didn't feel like I actually ever fell asleep, I know I did because I had weird dreams, but I just kept waking up every hour, it was weird. I ended up waking up at 430 when Luke got home and came to bed and getting up by 445 to start getting ready, got to work earlythis morning to make up for having to leave at 2pm on Thursdays with Nash.
He starts with the babysitter on Monday, I hope everything goes smoothly :)
Had a good weekend! I got home from work last Friday and Nash and Luke were out running errands, so I took advantage the quietness and took a 2 hour nap. The plan was that we were going to cook chicken, but we forgot to thaw them out so we went with pizza instead and watched the Hope for Haiti Telethon...and while Luke was feeding Nash he pooped and it came all out of his diaper all over Luke and on to our bed...it was hilarious! Little booger! :)
It was also Conan O'Brien's last show of the Tonight Show which was very sad...it was a good show and I hope he comes back to do a show on another network in September.
We had some crazy weather and it was quite chilly on Saturday, I went and worked out and came home and it was just Nash and I for the rest of the night. Sunday was the big Colts game against the Jets to determine whether we were going to the Super Bowl. Joe came over and brought some wings and we watched a good game and now we are going to the Super Bowl for the second time! So exciting! We are playing the Saints. I watched a movie Sunday night and that was about it. Monday I went to the dermatologists to get some dark spots zapped, then ran a bunch of errands. It was a buys 4 day weekend, time goes by so fast!
I ready for the weather to start warming back up into the 70's. I'm ready to not have to have the heat on at night and to have the windows open at night instead.
No big plans this weekend, even though it is my birthday, funds are low right now, thank God I decided to go back to work earlier then planned, we would not have survived had I not :)

Indiana weather in Arizona

We have had some real crazy weather in the past couple days. We actually had Tornado watches, Blizzard warning, High Wind warning, flood warning, Thunderstorm warnings, you name it we had last night. It was weird! Luckily we had no damage to our house and Nash slept through all of it. I am so proud of how he has been doing sleeping through the nights. Every night I put him down about 10pm and he sleeps all night. It's so nice!
Big game on Sunday, if the Colts win they are going to the Super Bowl and really there is no reason why they shouldn't win against the Jets. I'm not sure who is going to win the other game between the Saints and Vikings...should be interesting! No big plans tonight, cooking dinner at home and probably watching the Hope for Haiti Telethon and then Conoan O'Brien's last show as the Tonight Showw...I am still really bitter about that. I have been watching Conan for over 10 years. I used to stay up just to watch it when I was in high school, and I wondered why I was always so tired at school! NBC is just stupid and I will definitely NOT be watching Jay Leno anymore, I hope Conan goes to Fox or somewhere else...otherwise I might have to transition to watchin David Letterman. Working out tomorrow...i really need to get into a better routine with my workouts and figure out when I can get over there more. Chili Mac for lunch today...nothing better then some HOT chili on a cold rainy day!

Thursdays are good

Nash gets to come work with me for the last hour of the day on Thursdays. Luke will drop him off on his way to his off duty job on Thursdays...works out pretty good :) and it's something to look forward too. The last 2 nights he has been really good about going to sleep and sleeping all night, in fact this morning I went and tapped on his stomach just to make sure he was ok:) Hopefully he continues this great sleeping habits and especially when I go back to work full time.
The weather here has been a bit cold...lots of wind and rain, that is what they consider a Winter storm to be in Arizona, a high in the 50's this weekend and next week, a little chilly, but it shouldn't last long. I'm trying to figure out when I should make my next trip back to Indy.
I'm thinking maybe around the time of Emmy's birthday, since she will be the big 30! I know I definitely want to come back during the summer time....I always like to plan ahead and that will be the time of year here when it is too hot to do anything :) I wonder how I will do traveling by myself with an 8 month old????

Back to work

Today is the first day I have been back to work since before Halloween. Time went by sooo fast, I am only working 3 days a week the next couple weeks, while Luke is at home with Nash. Then starting in February he will start going to the babysitter Mon-Wed. So not too bad and Maria who is going to watch him is like family, so I know he is in good hands. It's nice to be back at work, I miss the day to day interaction with others and feeling productive. I like the feeling of making money, unfortunately I don't think I would make a good stay at home mom, because I was so un-productive while at home, all I wanted to do was lay around the house on my couch all day and I didn't want to even take a shower. I was afraid I would forget how to do stuff here at work, but it all came back like I had not even been gone. I meet with the photographer again today to order a few more "Nash" pics for our home.
I have been sort of slacking on my work outs because of the un-productiveness. But hopefully with being back at work and I can get back into and get my diet back on track instead of eating so much junk! My birthday is in 10 days...there are several things I want to do, go get a pedi, mani and massage and go to the dermatologist to get my "pregnancy mask" zapped.
I can't believe I am going to be 29! Too close to 30!

Christmas in Indy

We made our first big trip back home with Nash and he did great. He slept the whole way there on both flights. We got to see lots of family and friends, spent a night in Terre Haute with Luke's family and got to see a lot of friends with little ones :)
Over all it was a great trip, but I am glad to be home, back in the sunshine and warmer temps. We did get to see snow while we were there, nice to look at but it was so cold, I was not prepared with no winter coat. We got to go to the Colts game, even though the lost on purpose, tailgating was fun! Nash got so much stuff, way too much stuff, his first Christmas was better then anything I could have expected. Hopefully we will be making a trip back in 6 months or sooner. Spent the New Years at home relaxing and catching up on sleep. So glad to see my furbabies as well, I did miss them a lot. Nash has gotten so big, he seems like he has changed already just during our visit. I still have a whole month off to enjoy with him until it is time to go back to work, I am already dreading it, just in the fact that I will have to be away from him, starting back part time is probably the best thing for a little bit until I can get back into the swing of things.
Hopefully 2010 will be just as good as 2009 if not better :)
