It's Friday! and I couldn't be happier about it! No big plans this weekend or anything...but I think the weather is suppose to be nice which means it is a good time to go running outside and maybe wash my car, because it needs it.
Luke going to get our taxes done today...I am really, really hoping we get a good return this year, God knows we need it. The plumbers are coming back today to fix the toilets and all the dirt they got into the main line...hopefully they can get it done before Luke has to leave.
I opted out of the appointment so I don't have to miss work...I really want those 40 hours!
However I have a bad feeling this day is going to go by really slow :( It always does!
I did treat myself to some Nico's yesterday for a late lunch early dinner...it was sooo good, I hadn't had it in forever! It's almost March! Hopefully the weather starts to warm up a little bit more...I'm ready for it!

I can hear the parade...
I wish I could go out and watch the parade with Nash...he is always so alert I think he would like it. I can hear the drums from the marching bands.
So I got to work really, really early, earlier then I had planned because Nash woke me up this morning at 445 crying...so I had to feed him and then I decided to just stay up and throw on some clothes and head out the door and grab breakfast on the way and I'm actually not tired at all, probably because I fell asleep last night at like 845 watching a movie and was in bed by 930....our annoying neighbors behind us left there outside lights on for their dogs all night long, they must not realize it shines right into our bedroom...I'm sure they would hate it if we left our lights on all night...so annoying. I'm so looking forward to 2pm when I can leave, I have errands to run with Nash when I leave here, not really looking forward to it because I just want to go home and relax. The plumbers fixed our leak and thankfully without drilling through our driveway or sidewalk, but then they broke the toilets and some of the sinks. I guess somehow dirt go in the line and so our master bedroom toilet is not working, which by the way is real inconvenient and the sinks don't have cold water...so they are coming back on Friday to fix that.
Now we just have to figure out how we are going to pay for it all!
I did workout yesterday, even though I was super tired and really did not want to. I forced myself to go and ended up running 2 miles without a blink, probably could have run longer but I wanted to get home. Did some planks to work on my abs. I will workout and run again on Friday and then definitely go for a longer run on Saturday and or Sunday. I just really need to get on the ball, I wish I had more time to work out during the week.

Thank goodness it is almost the weekend! 1 more full week to get through and then my mom and Debby, Aryn, Penny, Kara, Ashely and Jason will all be here visiting. Should be a good time I think !

Rodeo Parade
Tomorrow is the rodeo parade and that means one thing for me...i have to be at work super early, because they close the roads before 7am :( Todd is not going to be here and Erika is taking her kids to the parade. So it will just be me and Juan, good thing I get to leave a little earlier, although I may get my 8 hours since I have to come in earlier, we'll see.
Another regular night last night for Nash and I. The babysitter thought he might have a fever, but he seemed to be ok, I think he is just starting to teeth and it just might be a low grade fever. I kept hearing and seeing how everyone has a sick kid, I really, really don't want a sick baby :(
His month check up is next week, so hopefully we will get some good info from the doc and a good report. :) I'm still on the hunt to find Nash a hat for the when he is outside. I think I found a cute one at Babies R Us, just not sure they have it in the store yet. I will have to go check maybe this weekend or something. it was another hard day to get out of bed this morning...the week is half way over and I don't have to take Nash to the babysitter anymore this week, so a little less driving and hauling for me. Lots to get done in the next couple weeks, I pray today that the plumbers can fix our leak without tearing up the driveway and sidewalk...because that will end up costing us more money. Luke thinks he can bribe them with a 12 pack each...I think...I don't want pay extra for anything.
I hope this weekend is not a rainy cold one again, I need to get some running done...I'm so not prepared for this marathon in a month!!!

Did not want to get up this morning
I had the hardest time getting up and going this morning...in fact I layed in bed a good while contemplating on going at all...but I knew I would regret using any sick time when I didn't really need it. I think it was just the cold weather that made it hard to get up, because it definitely was not lack of sleep, I was in bed by 930 last night and turned the TV off by 10pm. I finally took the time to watch Law Abiding Citizen since I feel asleep on Saturday trying to watch it. All the schools around here get off Thursday and Friday for the rodeo, I wish we got off work. In fact I have to get here even earlier because they close the road on Thursday for the parade, so that means I have to be here super early :( Not happy about that, good thing its my short day at work on Thursday. Nash is doing really well and has gotten into such a good routine that I fear it won't last much longer...I guess we'll have to wait and see, I need to call and schedule his 4 month appointment :)

Uneventful weekend
For a weekend that was suppose to be eventful and fun it turned into a stay in all weekend and not do anything !
We did have Vianney and Courtney over, it was so nice to see them, we always end up going like 6 months without seeing each other. Friday was a rought day at work, so I was pretty tired.
We had plans to go to the AZ animal fair but woke up Saturday morning and it was cold, cloudy and then it started down pouring at about 12pm. So instead Luke went and got us Quiznos for lunch and a movie from Blockbuster and we ended up spending 5 hours on the couch catching up on the last season of Lost. Didn't really have dinner, I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and and doritos with spinach dip. We watched the movie Law Abiding Citizen but I kept falling asleep and ended up going to bed as soon as it was over. Nash was not having a good night, sleep wise...probably because he slept most of the day...he did not want to go sleep he was only happy if I was standing up holding him, he would start to cry if I sat down. Sunday I ventured to the grocery store with Nash, was not able to get a whole lot with the car seat in the grocery cart, but that was ok, we didn't need a whole lot. Spent most of the day once again on the couch cozied up, I made some chili mac and was in bed my 9pm watch Brothers and Sisters :) So overall it was a good weekend, just not what I had planned. This crazy cold weather needs to get out of here and it needs to warm up soon. Especially by the time my Mom and all the girls get into town :)
The rodeo started this weekend. Maybe next year I will take Nash to the rodeo parade and maybe next year we will make it to the Animal fair and we will take the dogs too! Another week at work, no big plans this week, other then the leak finally getting fixed and getting are taxes done.

Finally Thursday
Yaay for Thursday! But boo for not having much luck with my workouts. I have to get on it...I'm starting to get worried because of the marathon. It's going to be really hard if I don't start really getting out there and start running. I'm just having trouble finding the time and feeling good enough to run. Hopefully that wont continue :(
Today is all about doing inventory at work, which means less time sitting at my desk and more time spent in the warehouse, which is all new to me. But I like a little change...it will probably make the the day go by faster.
For some reason I was really irritated last night, I think because Sunday-Tuesday nights I make sure the house in in order, stuff put away, cleaned up, no dishes in the sink..blah..blah...and it bothered me last night that it wasn't. Then Brewski peed on the bed and I have no idea why...I don't know what his deal was. He knew immediately that he was in trouble and hid from me under the bed...then I carried him downstairs and Luke scolded him and he went running off to his crate. That's when he really knows he is in trouble, when Luke scolds him. Later on he creeped back upstairs past Luke and got into the bed with me to sleep like he always does.
We watched a really good movie last night, called Whip It. It was about Girls Roller Derby, it was actually really cool and pretty funny too. Watched a little bit of the Olympics, some of the speed skating and sawl Apolo Ohno, he is really good and saw Shani Davis when the Gold.
We missed Shawn White on the Half Pipe, but Luke recorded it and I heard this morning that he won the Gold...not a surprise there, he is really good at it.
Dinner tomorrow night with Vianney and Courtney, they are coming over and we are grilling out, it will be the first time that they have gotten to see Nash.
He was so funny last night, right now he is all about chewing on his hands and he is constantly drooling and slobbering, he officially wears a bib pretty much all the time now. He really is such a good baby, very little crying, and when he does cry we can easily pinpoint what is wrong...it's never hard to figure out. And he is all about sucking his thumb...before I left for work I checked on him this morning and we was asleep just sucking his thumb, it was so cute. :)

It's only Wednesday
For some reason the beginning of the week always seem to start off so slow, when I think it should be Thursday, it is only Wednesday. Work is slow, and I don't like it. I need to be busy, buys, otherwise, I get really sleepy and really bored and it makes the time go by so slow!
I was just looking at info on the county fair which is in April. I think we will try to go this year...maybe. Some family and friends will be here in less then a month and we might go to some of the spring training games. Not sure how much time I really want to take off of work. I don't want to use up all my vacation time here in Tucson. I would rather use it when I am out of town. This is the time of year when things start to get really busy here in Tucson, with the Gem show, the Golf Tournament, Rodeo, County fair...the weather is getting warmer and I love it...hopefully it stays this way for awhile...I'm not ready for it to get really hot just yet. Tonight I am working out and then home and we are having breakfast for dinner, you gotta love that and hopefully we will have time to watch a movie :)

Animal Fair this weekend
There is an animal fair this Saturday...I think you can bring your pets, but we won't attempt that, at least I don't think we will. The weather is suppose to be really nice, and it's free and it gets us out of the house. So hopefully I can talk Luke into it and we will go. I'm actually pretty excited about it :) This weekend just might be turning into a busy one.
I finally got some video footage of Nash and from Christmas Eve up on Facebook, although it takes forever to upload, it is so worth it.
We cut our cable bill yesterday and I realized when I got home Nickjr is gone :( Nash likes to watch some of that stuff when he is in his buzzer chair...but we are cutting our budget so it will at least be a temporary thing and no more HBO :( We will just have to start watching more of our movies. Got an appointment set up for next Friday to get our taxes done. And roof savers is coming back to look at a place that had supposedly fixed but it is still collecting water. Luke was on it yesterday...he also got our leak scheduled to be fixed in our yard. :) Moving right along!

Valentine's Weekend
I didn't do anything this weekend. Relaxed and cooked dinner on Friday night and watched most of the opening for the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. It was actually pretty good. Saturday I went for a run...didn't realize it was so hot out and I had on a long sleeved shirt, needless to say I did not get very far because it was too hot and I was not prepared. But I need to get ON it because I have a marathon to run in about a month :) Scary to think about it now, I know I can do it, because I have done it once before. Mind over matter!
Sunday was Valentine's Day, I did my normal routine which consists of cleaning up the house, doing laundry and making my weekly trip to the grocery store. Luke cooked lasagna with a recipe I had found on line. It was pretty good:) But I think we will be eating leftovers for quite some time:) I know what I'm having for dinner tonight. And back to the grind today on this Monday Presidents Day. Some people don't have to work today ...what is THAT?
The weather is warming up, yesterday was fantastic, spring is finally coming...I think.
I hope this week goes by fast, nothing really going on until Friday when Courtney and Vianney come over for dinner and to finally see the house and Nash :) Can't wait for that, I have not seen them since Luke's birthday!

Happy Valentine's Day
Finally made it to Friday, this week went by much faster then last. It's Valentine's day this weekend on Sunday. I told Luke last night, do NOT get me anything. I think I will try to make us a nice dinner Sunday before he has to go into work and that will be our celebration :)
We have done really good this week on not spending money, not eating out, it was easier then I thought it would be. When you have to do it, I guess it's not so hard, you don't give into those urges to grab some fast food or a drink at the gas station. I usually eat Subway on Fridays, but today I am eating 2 day old leftover spaghetti. Which I had for dinner the past 2 nights :)
Still looking at flights to Denver to visit Jason over the summer and still trying to figure out when to come home to Indy over the summer to visit everyone. Not sure if Luke will be able to go with me on either trip...but at this point purchasing a flight anywhere is not in the budget, at least not for this month.
Working out today after work and hopefully getting in some running this weekend since the weather is suppose to be nice and all next week it is suppose to be sunny and 70's I can't wait, I have been talking about how I want sunny and 70 weather back...because it is the best.
Very excited for Eileen to come out to visit in April so that she can finally meet Nash.

Show me the Money..PLEASE!!!
This whole money thing just stresses me out. I shouldn't let it bother me that much, but it does.
Basically we just need to catch up for me not having worked for 3 months and killed us more then I expected and it didn't help that it was over the holidays. We decided last night we are cutting back on things like our phone and cable at least for a few months until we can really replenish our savings and get some of these bills paid down and done with.
That also means, no movies, no shopping, no eating out...I have to start getting creative with dinner ideas because we usually eat out at least once a week. I can't even tell you the last time I had Nico's, not that I need it since I am trying to lose this last little bit of the baby weight :(
I need to set my focus towards the marathon that is in a month. I did it once before, but I was also already in the best shape of my life...right now not so much...so I need to start running more and get out on the weekends and get it done. The good thing is no matter how bad my day or week might be going, all I have to do is look at Nash and see him smile that BIG smile and I just laugh and it makes my day so much better!

this week is a rough one
This week is quickly going down hill. We found out yesterday that the leak in our yard is going to cost us thousands of dollars to get repaired and we don't have THOUSANDS of dollars.
I guess we will look into getting quotes from other plumbers, we are not even sure the first plumbing company will considering working with us on a payment plan. I know it will all workout in the end but it is so frustrating. The world revolves around money and I hate it.
The good news is that I get paid tonight at midnight and the first thing I will do is put some money back in our savings.
I was late getting going this morning and get almost all the way to the sitters and realize that I forgot to the bottles in the diaper bag, so I had to stop at Frys, and run in and get some bottles, anyone who has a 3 month old knows that it really is impossible to just run in and out of a store with a baby, it's a whole process and it wore me out. On top of traffic just being awful this morning, which caused me to be even later to work, which means I will have to stay later to make up for that time so that I can make sure I atleast get my 40 hours for the week so that I can get the money that I am counting on next week. It's an endless cycle and it sucks.
The good news is that I put together Nash's playcenter last night, it only took me 2 1/2 hours to do and he is not quite big enough just yet for it, but he did like it so I am sure it will get used a lot once he is a little bit bigger.
I took the space heater that I use here at work home with me last night to use in Nash's room during the evening, so that I don't have to blast the heat in hopes that this will lower our electric bill just a little bit.

I took the space heater that I use here at work home with me last night to use in Nash's room during the evening, so that I don't have to blast the heat in hopes that this will lower our electric bill just a little bit.
The stupid things I do to save a little money :)

Nash
He is such a good baby! I still am in awe that he sleeps all through the night without even a peep and I have to actually wake him up in the mornings so we can get ready to go to the babysitters.
Maria was able to keep him awake mostly all day yesterday and so he was asleep from the time we got home, well actually night except for when I fed him, which I had to wake him up for that as well.
I should be getting his activity center that Brian and Kelsey got him for Christmas today at work, I can't wait to set it up and see if he likes it.
Luke got a really good picture of him smiling on Sunday, I love it. it doesn't take a whole lot to make him smile lately, it's hilarious.
I really tired of this cold weather, it's not even that cold, but I am just really for 70 degree weather for a little while :)

Sad loss
Well Colts and Saints played and the Colts lost :( It was disappointing to see them lose, but it was nice to see the Saints win.
Luke was not happy...we had a few people over and had some food and enjoyed most of the game.
Other then that I spent the weekend cleaning and doing laundry. Not very eventful.
We did finally realize that the standing water in our yard is a leak, that would make sense considering our water bill has gone up so significantly.
Hopefully we can find what the problem is today when a plumber comes to take a look at it and hopefully it is not outrageous to get fixed because funds are low right now...but that is nothing new :(
Back to work today, Nash back to the babysitter, basically back to the same old routine.

Go Colts
It's Friday and it's the start of the Super Bowl weekend and the Colts will be playing Sunday agains the Saints. It should be an exciting game! We are having a few people over to watch and Luke took both Saturday and Sunday off from work to enjoy the game.
I have my Colts shirt on today, but it's not as big of deal out here at the Tucson AFI :(
So no real plans this weekend for me besides cleaning, working out and relaxing with the boys.
I have officially decided to run the March 1/2 Marathon, it's funny I'm actually more worried about finding a babysitter for that Sunday morning then I am actually running the darn thing. But I need to start training because it's not going to come easily. Hopefully Luke will be able to flex his hours if he is working the day shift then he can watch Nash until I get back, either way I am sure it will all workout :)
This was the marathon I had planned on running last year but couldn't because I was pregnant...wow how much has changed in a year :) It's crazy!
Let this day go by fast, because this week has gone by really slow and I know this weekend will go by really fast, only to start it all over on Monday :)

a good laugh
It's amazing how a simple video of two men dancing, makes your day. Because it really made mine, I can't stop laughing at it, it's hilarious! Anyways, Thursdays are always good, because I get to leave work at 2pm, when Luke gets here with Nash, and I am actually not tired this morning, because I got a good night of sleep last night, unlike the 2 nights before.
We went out to Chilis last night with a gift card I had received and it the first time we went somewhere and Nash was awake the whole time and he was good the whole time we were there.
He was smiling and laughing and he went to bed flawlessly last night. And was still asleep when I left this morning. Such a good baby.
I have fallen off the workout wagon, so I need to get back on it. There is a marathon in March that I would love to try and do, even though I know I'm not ready, I like the challenge of it.

Managing the finances
Something I take a lot of pride in is managing our finances and making sure every bill gets paid on time. Trying to pay off these pesky credit card bills sucks big time. I only use one credit card now and that my Old Navy card, and really, I should not even be using it, but it seems whenever I need some new clothes I always resort to it :(
I was able to get my finance charge taken off my biggest credit card bill for the next 8 months, so my goal is to try and pay it off, we'll see how it goes. Money stresses me out, or more like lack of money stresses me out. I want to be able to do some traveling over the summer and I hate that I have to wait for a pray that airfare drops so I can afford to go home for a few days to visit everyone. But that is what I get for living so far away. I check airfare everyday to see if it has changed at all. I'm just glad I am back to work full time and will start to see my money flow come back into to our account and hopefully we can replenish our savings as well as pay off some stuff once we get are tax money. I am hoping for a big return this year.
Have lots of fun stuff planned over the summer and none of it comes free. Each month I keep track of all the spending we do and each month I am amazed a how much we really do spend and none of it is on stuff we like, it's just stuff we have to have, electricity, water, food, heat, and of course TV. Although I have been watching less TV lately and recordinge everything instead, I seem to be too tired once I get home and I fall asleep to cartoons while Nash enjoys them in his buzzer chair.
His first week of daycare at Maria's has been a success, and for me I'm so tired, Iwoke up thinking it should be Friday. And the 3 days end in spending $100 for my baby to be taken care of. UGH!
I should have made a resolution of paying off, paying down bills for the year 2010...but I think it is going to take a lot longer then that :(
Big game this weekend, Super Bowl! Looking forward to it. Hopefully this is a relaxing weekend and I can sleep in and nap a little bit :) And get all refreshed to do it again on Monday :)

Tired Tuesday
I am so tired today, I'm not sure I will make it through the day...I may have to go make a caffiene run here shortly, it's too bad I don't drink coffee, because I could have really used it today. And I have the dogs to blame, my baby boy is so good, it's not him that kept me up like you would think. I was in bed by 10 pm, but the dogs kept getting up and barking, turns out they wanted water...if only they were big enough to drink out of the toilet the problem would have been solved without disturbing my sleep. Needless to say when Luke got home at 2am this morning I was not happy at all. So I ended up getting maybe 3hours total. I feel awful! The good news is Nash did awesome at the babysitters yesterday, so we are slowly getting into a routine, that of course will change probably about the end of March, when Luke's schedule changes to days and we only need Maria on Mondays and Fridays...I hope she is ok with that.
Lord let this day go by fast please!

Nash's first day at the babysitters
My birthday weekend was awesome, Luke surprised me Friday night with a gift card to Imagen Salon and Spa for a full spa day. It was awesome, I was there from 9am to 3pm and I was so relaxed afterward that I wanted to just come home and sleep. Luckily Joe being the super Uncle he is came over and babysat for us so we could go out to dinner. It was nice, I really enjoyed my birthday this year. I spent all day Sunday, trying to get the house in order, tons of laundry done and get Nash ready for his first day at the Maria's the babysitter. I had planned on getting up early so that I would have plenty of time, but of course go figure I overslept, not sure how that happened, for some reason my alarm never went off! But we still made it to Maria's right at 7am and I still made it to work right at 730am so all is good. I'm starting my week off good so far and knowing that Nash is in good hands with Maria is very helpful. Lots of work to get done this week and next before a deadline next Friday.
