Luke took some good video of Nash yesterday. Him nodding off to sleep while sitting in his play center. It was really cute. The week is almost over...only one more day and a shorter day at that.
Thank goodness for having Good Friday off :) Not many people do. Had a really good dinner last night, I made Ameena's recipe for her Taco bake with a mac n cheese in it. It was really good. Except we used Turkey instead of beef, couldn't tell the difference and much healthier for us.
Andrea is gonna be in town on Sunday, looks like I will be spending my Easter at the pool with Andrea, Jason, Luke and Nash...can't complain, although not traditional, still fun :)
Now the big question, of what's for dinner tonight? I have no idea...too windy to grill out, so maybe leftovers. I just recently looked into trail running, I think that is gonna be the next thing I want to try, it sound difficult but fun...:)

I swear it feels like Monday
This day just feels weird...I think with Luke starting his new schedule on days now and Fridays actually being his Mondays and Nash finally going back to the babysitter today it just messed me up because I keep thinking it is Monday, and I am just totally exhausted too ! Nash decided to wake up at about 2am and then again at 3am and I fed him at 3 and he went back to sleep but I of course barely slept with the alarm going off at 45oam for Luke to get up. I still have to go pick up my packet for the marathon on Sunday and go to the store to get something for dinner tonight as well. Pasta of course :) I'm going to try and relax as much as I can tomorrow and just keep drinking lots of water and stay hydrated. My goal of course for this marathon is to finish under 3hours, because it took me 2 1/2 last time and I know I'm not in as good of shape now compared to then and not walk to stop at all during the whole run, because it is much harder to start again after you have stopped or walked. Hopefully they have those water stations every mile :)
I think we are finally in the clear from our financial snafu...I really hate it, all I want to do is go shopping and buy some knew clothes, nice new clothes, because I really have not done that in sooo long, I don't even remember the last time actually. But I also keep telling myself that I still have some more baby weight to lose :( I wish it were all gone by now, but no one to blame but myself because I have not been very disciplined about my exercising :( But I am getting somewhat better about my eating and skipping the cravings for Nicos like I had yesterday.
Not a good idea for this week. If I give myself until August that will me 9 months and I hope to have lost ALL of it by then...another goal to add to the list :)

It can't only be Thursday..
..I swear this week seems to be dragging on...not sure why, I have stayed pretty busy.
Today I will leave at 2 once Luke gets here with Nash. I bought some Nash a few Easter goodies last night, just a couple of books and a plus frog that makes noise. He seems to really like books, which means he just might be a nerd, which fine by me! :) Got in my last good workout last night before the big run on Sunday...also bought a few new duds to wear during the run, in hopes that I can be as comfortable as possible. We finally watched Where the Wild Things are last night, I did not understand it AT ALL! I kept asking Luke, was this part in the book, I mean it is a childrens book and I do remember the book, but the movie was just weird, it didn't seem to make much sense...and now I think I need to go get the book and compare to the movie. The creatures in the movie were very well done and I think they each represented part of the little boys personalities, I think?! I'm still trying to understand why I am so tired every day, I get enough sleep, Nash is still sleeping through the night with no problems and I don't wake up at all or maybe once through the night but never have a problem going back to sleep, yet I am always soooo tired at work. I just don't get it. Well lots to focus on the next two days..pasta, pasta, pasta!!! and LOTS of WATER and Gatorade too!

Finally
We have had two movies forever and finally watched one of them last night, Planet 51...it was cute. But I somewhat dozed off during it. Talked to Em last night for a good while about her and Jon's trip to New York, I really have to make sure that Luke and I make it out there sometime.
I have always wanted to go there, so we will for sure have to make the time for it.
Took Jason to the airport this morning, he will be back next week sometime. I'm starting to get my days mixed up because the next couple weeks are going to be so crazy, but I can't wait.
If only I had more vacation time to use :)
Have to get a good workout in tonight, because this will be my last one before the big marathon Sunday, gotta make sure I don't forget to pick up my packet on Friday. Lord I hope I can do this marathon, I'm really risking it, not having trained for it, but for some reason I'm just not worried about it. It looks like the weather is going to be nice, hopefully it does not get too hot too quickly.
And I better just bathe in sunscreen before to make sure I'm covered.
Nash is getting so big, he cracks me up, lots of smiles and laughing. Luke will scare him playing Peek a boo and Nash just cracks up, it is so cute. I just love him to death! I really can't wait for Andrea and Brian to see how much he has changed and especially Eileen because she has not seen him at all yet :)

Booked for Indy in June!
I found a great deal on air fare to Indy for the first weekend in June, so I booked it.
Nash and I will be taking the trip out there and hopefully Luke can go a couple of those days as well. And hopefully we can find someone to watch the boys if he does come. I so wish I could take them with us. I think in a couple of years we will drive out there instead of flying and stay for like a week or so....well at least that is the plan for 2012 :) Always planning ahead!
Got some really great pictures from the last 2 weeks that everyone was here. Nash has changed so much, he is getting to be such a big boy, love him so much! I can't wait for next week because it's a short work week a long weekend, I get to see Andrea one day after the long weekend, and then my brother in law will be in town that Thursday and then my BF Eileen will be in town that following Saturday until Tuesday and I will be taking some vacation days and we will hopefully enjoy the pool a couple days while she is here. I need to start checking the weather and make sure I have a good report for the marathon on Sunday. I have been doing good on my water intake. I have a new goal that by August I will have lost all the baby weight, because that will have been 9 months after Nash was born and if they say it took 9 months to gain allow 9 months to lose it then that is what I am going to shoot for. Because I'm not doing a very good job of disciplining what I have been eating, I need to do better! April is just going to fly by with all the visitors we have coming out and then I'm sure May will go fast and then I will be home for a week and then hopefully be able to go to CO for July 4th weekend and then the girls will be here in August for our girls trip to San Diego, can't wait for that!
And then ...I don't know...I love summer time!

What a weekend
Busy weekend for me! Debby, Aryn and Penny left early Saturday morning, so we all went out to dinner to Daisy Mae's on Friday night and hung out for a little bit afterwards. Saturday, Luke, my mom, myself and Nash all went to the 4th Avenue Street Fair, first time I had ever been there, since we moved here. I liked it, a lot of cool art and of course good food. It was kind of hot and and a little crowded when trying to steer stroller. But Nash did awesome :) I think he slept most of the time. Luke and I had date night on Saturday night, I had my first Sonoran Hot Dog and it was sooo good...I could eat those more often. Then Luke and I went and saw Shutter Island...I really liked it, it was nice to just be able to get out and see a movie, it had been so long since we had been able too, literally months. I think we are the only ones who have still not seen Avatar...I'm kind of over all the hype now.
Sunday was Luke's first day on his new shift, the day shift. So he had to be up early, which meant just me and Nash all day long, because the dogs had been staying with my since she got into town.
We went to the store, I got all the laundry done, pulled weeds, washed my car and made dinner for my mom, Jason and Luke. They hung out for a little bit after we ate. And then early to bed for me...I was beat, my back of course is killing me. I think I might need to go get it checked out from my doctor...considering it has been bothering me for months.
The big marathon is this Sunday, so that means this weekend I really have to focus and eat good, drink lots of water, load up on carbs and hope that it's not too hot for me and I that I do ok.
I'm definitely not running it for a good time, it's more about just running the whole thing without walking or stopping, because for me that is the hardest part. I just have to make sure I have good music on my Ipod and a good breathing rhythm and I should be ok, and hopefully Luke and Nash will be cheering me on at the finish line :) Because that will make my day!

been busy
This week is flying by, yet somehow it still feels like a long one. I'm exhausted in a good way.
Nash stayed with grandma last night, so that Luke and I could go out to dinner and drinks for St. Patty's day. Even though somehow we ended up eating Mexican, not very St. Patrick's Day like...but still very good. Even though I have had Mexican about 5 times in the past week. I love it and all, but don't think I will be eating for awhile. Have a couple more days to spend with Aryn and Debby for they head back to Indy. Good thing I am taking a half day tomorrow and hopefully enjoying the pool the rest of the day. My house has been quiet with the dogs staying with my mom all week, it's strange, but I know they are enjoying their time with her and everybody else.
Seems like April is looking to be a busy busy month with a lot of people visiting us.
It should be fun though. Got the big marathon a week from Sunday. Not really prepared for it, but also not worried about it either. Luke does start his new schedule this Sunday so things will be changing a little, but it will be really nice to have him home in the evenings. I know he is going to hate having to get up really early 4 days in a row. But I told him I would make his lunch for him. Hopefully that will help in saving us a little money too. Still battling our big plumbing bill which is due next week. I think we will be able to swing i though, I have been so worried about it. Even though I know it's not the end of the world if we only can pay part of it on time. We will manage and everything will turn out good. Big Air Show this weekend, I would love to go because it's free and I think it will be neat to go to. But I'm not sure I can talk anyone else into going to it. But we'll see. Last weekend was pretty busy, so this may be a good weekend to relax and finally get some laundry done since I skipped it last week or maybe go running since i have that small marathon coming up!

The weekend is almost here
...and it's going to be a good one. I'm actually doing something instead of staying around the house all weekend. We are driving up to Mesa tomorrow for the Cubs spring training game against the Reds. Lucky for me I own one Cubs tank top that I can wear that I bought when I was pregnant.
I think the weather should be good and it should be a fun time.
Not sure what the plans are for tonight, maybe dinner somewhere...that is always fun!
And hopefully I can get some sun on Sunday at the pool, I think it is suppose to be warm enough and actually really comfortable, not hot.
Nash is doing really good with eating his rice cereal, I will probably gradually give him more and then maybe start him on some veggies soon as well. Hopefully he continues to do well with the solids.

come on warm weather
The weather has been a little strange lately, it just won't warm up...it's been in the low 60's and still getting down to the 40's high 30's at night. Definitely strange for this time of year. Hopefully tomorrow it will be nice and definitely on Saturday for the spring training game up in Mesa. I haven't looked at the weather yet. Had some good enchiladas last night, even though I had enchiladas the night before at Mosaic with my mom and Nash. I just saw the first preview for Eclipse, it comes out at the end of June, hopefully that will give me some motivation to finish the book. I just can never seem to find time to read or I don't make the time, or I fall asleep while trying to continue to read.
Family and friends are in town, I have not seen all of them yet, I will today when I leave work at 2 after Luke drops off Nash. Hopefully I can get some sun this weekend, I'm in bad shape of needing some color :)

Gramaw C get in town today!
The past 3 or 4 days have been a blur and have gone by so fast. I have been doing nothing but cleaning, laundry, yard work, dishes, my feet hurt and my back is still killing me after 4 months, I should probably do something about it. We just got our lovely plumbing bill in the mail yesterday, have no idea how we are going to get it paid by the 24th. I can get it partially paid but not all of it, or it will take a money miracle to get it paid on time. I'm trying not to stress about it because there are too many bigger and better things going on this week and next to worry about it.
Next week is our nephew Abram's first birthday! Very exciting! Wish we could be there to celebrate! It's weird to think I had just found out I was pregnant this time last year, lets hope I feel normal his spring season and not awful like last year. The past few days have been cold and rainy, but it looks like by Thursday things will be sunny, warm and clear...and good sign. We have the big baseball game on Saturday. I have to go pick up Nash from Maria's this afternoon and then go pick up my mom at the airport, then the rest of the group gets in tomorrow night, but I won't see them until Thursday afternoon after work. Probably take a half day next Friday, but right now I really should not be missing any work, or I guess maybe one day might be ok :)

its the weekend
It's Friday! Got a busy weekend filled with yard work, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping. I guess it's the usual stuff, but I feel like we have a lot going on. Plus I need to get a run or two in this weekend or make it to the gym and at some point wash my car, but I think it is suppose to rain on Sunday, so maybe I will do it Monday after work. Because then it is suppose to be Sunny and nice all that next week and into the weekend :)
I went to Babies R Us yesterday with Nash to pick up a few things. I am so glad I have held back until now to go to that store, there were so many things that I wanted to buy him. But I only bought stuff that he needed, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, rice cereal, spoons, bottles, wipes. so I did really good. We are going to start him on the rice cereal tonight or tomorrow, I haven't decided yet. Hopefully he will get the hang of eating from a spoon and swallowing it. And hopefully this will help with his big appetite and satisfy him longer.
It is a really nice day today and I hate that I am stuck inside a building all day and of course the day could not be going any slower. And I'm just tired on top of that so it makes it harder to concentrate on work!

72 Sunny and Perfect
Yaaay! for good weather...finally! I'm so ready for it. Although it is making me feel like I did last year at this time, which was not very good. I think it is triggering certain things that I felt and went through in the beginning of my pregnancy..not good things AT ALL! I hope it does not last.
The good news is that Nash's 4 month check up went well. I did not realize that he was going to get 2 more shots :( But he was a trooper and did well. The doc said he looks good, weight wise.
But I know that we need to work on tummy time more, because I think he is suppose to be rolling over or at least trying to and he is not. So we will definitely have to work on that and have Maria the babysitter work on that as well. And we get to start rice cereal! I'm not really sure if that is a good thing or not...I do think it will help Nash to feel fuller when eating. So I hope everything goes well with that too. I have been having some issues with my body just feeling stiff and I have been so uncomfortable even just laying around, it's aggravating. I do have to pat myself on the back because I have been doing a really good job at cutting our spending and budgeting and saving and paying down bills. It's actually a really good feeling. Although I really, really want to go shopping, I will still hold off. I am still holding on to some baby weight, but of course I'm not really doing anything to get rid of it either, so I can't complain. Need to get on the ball, the marathon is coming up in less then a month. And I am so not prepared! I need to be better disciplined that I have and especially in the next 2 weeks when my family is here :) It will be hard to fit in workouts and runs, but I definitely need to do it! Leaving early today, as I always do on Thursdays...hoping Nash will be in a good mood with a full belly so I have time to make a few stops on the way home...Babies R us being one of those stops :)

long weekend
I am finally back to work, after taking a sick day yesterday...was not planned to miss yesterday, but I did. Little Nash has been a little stuffy and he had a bad night on Sunday night, so I didn't want to take him to the sitters not feeling well. But he seems to be better today and he has his 4 month check up tomorrow. I'm interested to see if he is where he should be weight wise and how the doctor thinks he is doing. Hopefully everything is good from her point of view, but I always get nervous after what we went through the first weeks after he was born.
A week from today mom will be here for 2 weeks, that means she gets to watch Nash for those days. I don't think I will be taking any time off while everyone is here, maybe just a half day one Friday to enjoy the pool. I am so pale, I'm in desperate need of some color quickly. I hope the weather cooperates this weekend so we can get some yard work done and I can wash my car...finally!
This past weekend it was just so dreary, Saturday it was cloudy all day and then it rained all day on Sunday, thankfully I did not have to leave the house at all that day and I literally got nothing accomplished, except cooking dinner and watching TV. This weather needs to get better and very soon. So Emily finally knows about her surprise trip for her 30th bday from Jess and the fact that we are going to see Dave in San Diego...I seriously can't wait...it should be totally awesome. I'm in need of a girls trip so bad and this one should be a good one!
