I probably said " Nash, give me a kiss" 100 times last night and I got nothing, yet when Luke says it he plops one right on him...what is up with that? :)
It is so cute though. Last night he learned a very tricky skill to a toy that we bought him for Christmas and so we clapped every time he completed that skill and he just loved it.
I had a successful but frustrating day at the mall, if I had remembered that the kids were still out of school and going to be swarming the mall, I would have voted that we go next week. I just can't handle the crowds sometimes, and Nash was cranky and squirming in his stroller, so Luke bought him a Hurley hat from the Buckle, it seemed to satisfy him for a little bit.
I will have to make a trip back another time to finish my shopping, I do so much better shopping on my own at my own pace. But bless Luke, because he totally understands that and would take Nash and go do their own thing and then meet out front of the store. It's still too much pressure for me.
The weather has taken an ugly turn, when we left the mall, the wind had kicked up and the temp had dropped and it was raining and is still raining and they keep talking about snow, but I have yet to see any. They have closed Mt. Lemmon so we can't even go up there to enjoy the snow t if we wanted too.
I forgot tomorrow is New Years Eve, I guess that is what happens, when you have no plans and you have taken all your Christmas decor down and it just feels like another work week. But I am however delighted that I might get to sleep in tomorrow, hopefully Nash will let me.
Today is my brother's birthday and all it does is remind me that I'm turning 30 in exactly a month, I'll be 30 on the 30th...does that mean anything? I'll ask Emmy, she'll know...

snow in the desert
There is a good chance we could get snow in the next 24 hours, I don't think it will happen, but I guess we'll see. However for tonight there is a 100% chance for rain, so it's gonna be one of those night where the dogs won't go out side to pee because they are so spoiled with this nice Arizona weather and if they have to deal with snow, they might just freak out totally, well maybe just Bobby, Brewski has seen and peed in snow before, although he probably does not remember it.
Last night Luke and I watched the Dark Crystal, and old movie that Jim Henson made back in the 80's, it's all puppets, it brought back some memories, I remembered bits and pieces of it, it was weird.
Getting ready to leave soon, to go meet Luke and Nash at the mall to do our Christmas shopping...finally :)
Hoping to get in another workout like yesterdays, but this day, just really makes me want to curl up in bed. Speaking of bed, I got no sleep last night, Nash woke up at midnight again, screaming, so I rocked him for awhile, that always seems to work ,but then I couldn't go back to sleep, next thing I knew it was 230am and I was still wide awake, for some reason my brain was just going a mile a minute, all these things that I need to get done, kept coming up and then I remembered that Luke's friend Matt is getting married this weekend and we haven't even got them a card yet to mail. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday, he is going to be 34..I think, I can never remember how old people are anymore, especially myself, for some reason, I still think I'm 28

Back to the norm
Christmas has come and gone, the tree and decorations are put up until next year. Overall we had a great Christmas considering we are far from all of our family this year.
Nash got so much stuff, lots of new toys and outfits and pj's. He has a whole wardrobe for our Indiana visit. We ended up having our big breakfast for dinner like I had planned and then Nash got a bath while I played Santa putting out all the presents and then we opened presents, he didn't really understand what was going on, and didn't get into it until we took the gifts out of the packaging. But it was fun for him and us.
The weatherman is talking about possible snow here in Tucson this week, that is just crazy, but I hope it does happen, it would be nice to see it again.
Still have not booked our flight home for Indy, I'm still holding out on better pricing, hoping that it will drop from the $300 per person it is right now, but I think prices are holding steady :(
Wish we could stay longer then just 8 days, it is never enough time to make the rounds to see everyone and it always just flies by.
Luke and I will be taking advantage of the after Christmas sales this week and doing our Christmas shopping for ourselves then. Hoping to get some good stuff :)

flu bug!
I caught the flu and after not having if for at least 4 years, I forgot how awful it really it is and I have now learned my lesson on not getting the flu shot! Luckily I made Luke go get one and Nash had already gotten the first part of 2 flu shots that he had to get, so hopefully I didn't pass anything on to either of them. I don't know how single Moms do it, with getting the flu and still having to take care of kids, I called Luke and made him come home early from work, because I could not even function. Luckily by Saturday night I was feeling better and back to normal on Sunday, so that I could disinfect the whole house :)
Last night we went out with good friends Vianney and Courtney to enjoy dinner, they are going to be moving to Seattle, and I am definitely going to miss them a lot. But they are moving to bigger and better things in WA. So happy for them.
Luke took off today to head to Vegas for his interview, he is driving, which I guess it is only about a 6.5 hour drive, so not too bad, but I worry, because he is by himself.
His big interview is tomorrow, and once again I think I might be more nervous then he is. I know he will do great, but this is just such a weird and dragged out process, that I really just have no idea what to expect. Hopefully all turns out well. But tonight and tomorrow it's just gonna be me and Nash. Not really a big deal, since Nash will be at the sitters while I'm working.
Luke is gonna try to take Christmas Eve off , that will be nice, because then we can just do our presents with Nash then, and that will be our Christmas. I'm looking forward to it!
My work has okayed us to work the week between Christmas and New Years, which is good, because I was a little concerned with missing that paycheck. I plan to work Tue-Thurs, so I will still get a little bit of a break, which will be nice. And hopefully it wont make too big of a difference for us on our finances.
We have no New Years plans, in fact I can't recall the last time we actually did something on New Years.

tired of the warm weather
For once I would rather it be a little colder then this 80 degrees it has been. Nash and I did take advantage of it yesterday and he walked around in the cul-de-sac and I met some of our neighbors, very nice people, even invited us over for Christmas :) And they just LOVED Nash, he is such a little show off.
They kept saying how weird it was to be putting up Christmas lights in this warm weather.
I think Nash must be cutting another tooth, he is back to his sleepless nights and it's always right in the middle of the night, I rocked him for awhile last night around 2am, it really was the only thing that calmed him down. I'm sure he slept in this morning. I definitely had some trouble getting up this morning, hit snooze a couple of times.
Even the dogs didn't want to get out of bed.
No plans this evening, although I am going to squeeze in a workout before heading home.
Tomorrow night is going to be hectic with Emily babysitting Nash so we can go to Luke's work Christmas party, and I have to get home at a decent time so that she can get home, because she is still in school and having finals this week I'm sure.
So Thursday will prob be a rough day, I'm sure I will be tired.
Hoping we can get together with some of our friends this Sunday, even though Luke has to work, we'll see what happens.
I really need to start wrapping presents for Nash, Luke asked when I was going to start putting presents under the tree, I was like...Santa does not come before Christmas eve night! Duh!
No presents under the tree until then, and then I even have to figure out when to let Nash open them, with Luke working at 6am Christmas morning, I don't really know when to do it, maybe Christmas Eve night....we'll see.

Sleepy Monday
I knew today was going to be rough, Nash chose last night to not want to go to sleep, in fact he was a little booger all day yesterday, not wanting to nap, but yet crying like he was tired.
I got very little accomplished yesterday. We did enjoy the nice weather on Saturday and went for a nice long walk at the park. Luke cooked dinner on Friday night for me, I actually didn't know what to do with myself, I just stood in the kitchen and he kept telling me to go relax, it was weird, it has been a while since I haven't cooked or helped cook when Luke is grilling. He did everything, not that there was much to it, but it was nice and the food was good.
Nash and I went shopping Saturday evening to get some stuff for his little girlfriends over at the sitters. He just loves those girls. And then we enjoyed some Mc Donalds, while Luke as out with his buddies. I saw very little of him this weekend.
Last night I made Lasagna for the first time, it was pretty good, I used turkey instead of hamburger meat, still tastes good to me, and I have plenty of leftovers for tonight.
Luke and I are hooked on Sarah Palin's Alaska reality show on TLC, sort of makes me want to go to Alaska for a trip, it's pretty beautiful there, but I can't imagine living there.
We have Luke's work Christmas party this Wednesday, which means we have a sitter for Nash and I have to leave the party early, which I'm ok with, I will have to work on Thursday anyways.
Can't take any more days off for the rest of this week and next, I just hope it goes by fast and my mini-vacation from work goes by slow.
The weather has been unusually warm lately, I don't like it, I want it to be just a little bit cold by Christmas.
Got my boxes shipped out today, one less thing I have to worry about.
Two years ago on Christmas here it actually snowed, it would be nice if that could happen again.
I'm hoping this week Luke and I and Nash can make it over to Winter Haven Festival of Lights, I have never been ,but I hear this year it is suppose to be the best so far. I think Nash will like seeing all the lights.

..and the week comes to a close..finally
What seems like a crazy week is finally ending, well at least work wise. No plans underway this weekend for me, although Luke is going to hang with some of his buddies Saturday, I have nothing planned. I do need to start wrapping presents and get my boxes ready to ship out on Monday.
It has been pretty warm here during the say, I still find myself turning on the AC once I get in the car.
I have never been so annoyed as I was last night while at our weekly trip to Wal-Mart. Too many people, a crazy lady and her daughter that I we kept running into down every aisle and every time the daughter felt it necessary to comment on how cute Nash is. Not that I disagree, but it was total overload. The cashier lady was weird, she was hurrying and it was just chaotic. I can tell the cashiers get so ticked off because I bring my reusable bags, and it makes it more of a pain for them when bagging stuff, they hate it :)
I stayed up way to late watching all my DVRed shows and now I'm exhausted.
But I'm really considering going to a late movie tonight since Nash and Luke will be asleep by 830 :).

Poor Nasher
Got to work early this morning, actually the past two days, I have gotten here at 630, trying to get this darn NAFTA done before the end of the year. It's only 8am and I feel like I have been her forever!
Poor Nash fell twice yesterday, once over the side of the couch on to our hard cement tile, I wasn't home, Luke said he hit his head, but seemed to be ok otherwise. When I got home from the gym, they were outside walking with this green dinosaur toy that he loves. So we stayed outside for a bit and walked around and he was doing some walking on his own and sure enough he tripped and fell flat on his face on the road, it was awful. He now has road rash on his nose and a nice bruise/bump on his forehead. Poor guy, it was such a rough day. I have not seen his battle scars against the road today, I imagine they look worse. I need to buy him one of those little ice pack things for kids, all we had was a bag of frozen vegetables to put on his head. He handled it well and was back to normal within 5 minutes with little crying. He is a tough one! There are many more falls and scrapes and scratches to come, I'm sure. But I think the first are the scariest.
We gave him pizza for dinner and a bath to make him feel better, he loves this bath time.
I'm sure he slept good last night.

We have a daredevil on our hands!
It's official...Nash is a daredevil! Now that he has figured out how to climb on and off the couch, we can no longer box him in our living room because he has figured out how to climb over the ottoman. Unless we keep him busy playing with his toys, but the solution is to get the gate up and going. I said I was going to get to last weekend and never did, so I definitely need to get to it soon.
We have to line the pillows up on the floor under the couch because he insists on standing up and running and falling and flipping off, it's scary!
He likes to get in and out of his toy basket go up and down the stairs, only with us helping him of course, and he likes to climb up and down off the bed. He uses the doggy steps to get up and then apparently tries to slide down off the bed like he does the couch, I have yet to witness it yet.
Soon he will be that monkey that crawls out of his crib...we need to make sure we master the up and down the stairs before that happens!
I think I am close to being done with Christmas shopping for now, or at least until after Christmas.
I actually have more people to buy for after Christmas this year then I do for before.
I have to get my box ready to go and shipped by next week, I can't believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away, time really does just go way too fast.
I'm actually not happy that I have the week off between Christmas and New Years, I hate that I will miss getting that money especially this time of year...yuck. But on the bright side, it will be a nice little break and we won't have to pay for day care for Nash that week.
We have Luke's work Christmas Party next week, then Luke is going to be gone for a few days the following week, then it's Christmas! Hopefully my sitter can watch Nash while Luke is out of town, because I really cannot afford to take anymore days off before Christmas. She hasn't replied to my text, so hopefully I will know by Friday.
Still trying to figure out when we are going to open presents with Nash and what we are going to eat for Christmas...I'm thinking breakfast for dinner! But we'll see.
I worked out yesterday, really trying to get back into it, but I seem to only have 2 days a week that I can find the time to get into the gym, something needs to change to fix that problem.
The weather has warmed up, back into the 70's during the day and 40's at night, so very comfortable, I have the heat off and the ac off and it's just nice out, love saving that money on our bills.

Big day tomorrow
Unfortunately because we don't have a sitter for Thursdays I have decided to take the day off from work ( unpaid) to watch Nash so Luke can go take his big test and then he has his off duty job after that. Fingers crossed for the test, I know he'll do ok, but I might be more nervous about it then he is:)
Well, now Nash has figured out how to climb up on the couch...this is not good, because he likes to stand up on it and I'm afraid he will fall off on to the hard floor. Basically I can never leave him unsupervised in the living room anymore, as Luke pointed out last night. Uh Oh!
Thankfully he slept through the night last night, lately he had been waking up crying at least once during the night, but not last night, thank goodness, although Brewski was being restless and kept me up.
Although we had another cold night last night it is suppose to be back to 70 degrees today.
What to do this weekend?

Coldest in 10 years
Last night was a record low temp, coldest it has been since 2000. Still doesn't compare to Indiana weather, but definitely cold! And of course the coldest room in the house is Nash's and when the heat is on our room turns in to a sauna! I hate having the heat on, but we need it right now.
They even talked about pipes freezing...weird!
Nash is officially walking on his own. He just needs to learn how to stand up from the ground, he is still relying on furniture to get up on his feet, but he can walk and stop and just stand there.
And Luke taught him how to go down the stairs on his belly so now he can go up the stairs and down the stairs. We still have not gotten a safety gate, I'm still trying to hold off for now.
Thanksgiving has come and gone, pretty uneventful here, honestly just felt like another day to me and another dinner, but it was good, I know Nash enjoyed it. I put up the Christmas tree and decorated and strung some lights around the stair railing. The tree looks really nice especially from outside.
Nash has been really good about not really messing with it. He is more interested in messing with the buttons on the DVD player and cable box.
I decided not to go shopping on Black Friday, but did manage to get some done on Saturday.
I think Luke and I are going to wait until after Christmas to buy each other stuff this year since I do have that whole week between Christmas and New Years off this year, might as well take advantage of the deals after Christmas.
I hope we survive that week of no pay check from me, I hate even thinking about it.
I still have not bought our plane tickets home for January, still waiting for air fare to drop, hopefully after Christmas is does. I really hate to pay $600 to fly home, it's just crazy!

Crazy..busy week!
I can't believe it is already Friday! It seems like it was just Friday yesterday. This week has definitely been a crazy one all around. Luke has been sick, but better now, I'm still hoping I don't get whatever he had, so I will be doing some cleaning and laundry tomorrow to help prevent that.
My Grandma has been in the hospital all week, although doing much better today. I'm hopefully gonna try to call her today and finally talk to her. I hope she gets to go home real soon.
Brewski is officially fat and has to go on a special diet dog food which is going to cost me $55, but should last us a while. Nash discovered he has a tongue and now he is spitting and letting his tongue hang out of his mouth and constantly touching it.
He has been saying Mom a lot, and Luke got him to say Dad as well, it is so funny.
We found out this week that in October and this month we paid Luke's car payment twice. Which is cray, finally got that resolved and they will be refunding us the money.
We got totally ripped off by Culligan Water, they charge us $180 to hook up our water softener then it was leaking and they told us they couldn't find the parts anywhere to fix it, but said let us know if you need to order a new unit.
I called Eco-Water and the guy came out the same day and was able to fix it on the spot with the parts he had on him.
Stupid Culligan, even the Eco-Water guy said they try to rip people off, go figure!
But now are water softener is working and I'm even happier that I just got our electric bill for the month and it is at least $100 less now that we have the AC off for the season.
I have been listening to Christmas music while at work since last Friday, I love it, it seems to put me in a better mood. I bought all of our makings for Thanksgiving last night.
We have done this once before, it has just been awhile. But looking forward to having the day off with Luke and finally putting up the Christmas tree after not having it up for the last 2 years.
I'm not doing very good with my Christmas shopping, and I'm toying with the idea of going shopping Friday, but I doubt that will happen, since Luke has to work that day, might as well just enjoy the day off, maybe I could go later that evening on my own.
Nash was still getting birthday presents as of last night, I think he is finally done. I really need to get some kind of cubby hole thing for his room to put his toys in, something to just organize them better or maybe rearrange his furniture.
Well glad it's Friday and this busy/crazy week is coming to an end!
Which is cray, finally got that resolved and they will be refunding us the money.

the husband is sick
Luke got sent home from work this morning, he is sick. All I can say is I hope Nash and I don't get whatever he has. And I hope Luke gets better sooner then later. For the most part had a good weekend, pretty productive. Got Nash his new big boy car seat yesterday, but have yet to put it in my car. It's another chilly morning, and I am really wishing my space heater at work as working at times like this when my feet are freezing.
This week I have to get back on the workout train, it's been 2 weeks since I have been. I really hate when I let myself do that, but the break was nice.
I just learned that the prop for Medical Marijuana passed, it's legal, but you have to have a prescription. Very weird.
Have lots to get done this week at work, and next week is Thanksgiving, I always love 3 day work weeks and 4 day weekends, this month is just flying by so fast!
Poor Brewski, we finally took him to get his nails cut, bathed and groomed yesterday, and he is so fat, I thought most of it was hair, nope, he is just a fatty. But unfortunately I have to take him to the vet, because he has to get the anal sacs expressed on his bottom, so gross, but I guess it's typical of small dogs. He is due for a shot anyways, and I have a feeling they are going to tell us he needs more exercise, which I pretty much already knew the answer to that.
My Grandma is having surgery today, pretty routine surgery, but I have been thinking about her all morning. Hope she feels better soon.

It's so cold!
I don't remember it being this cold so quickly last year. Of course at this time last year I really wasn't leaving the house. I wanted to buy hot chocolate at the store last night, but stopped myself, every store already has all their Christmas stuff up... it feels like the holidays are just all the sudden here! I'm thinking I should start stocking up on stuff for Thanksgiving dinner, it will be here in like 2 weeks and that is just crazy!
Back to the babysitter Nash went this morning after over 2 weeks of not going, of course he cried as soon as I made my way back out the door. He will be happy to be with his girls all day though. He is doing really good with the no formula and lack of bottles. Bought him some Cars sippy cups last night. I taught him how to give kisses to his birthday Sponge Bob and now he randomly will give him kisses, it is so cute.

Lunch break
The past two weeks have been crazy fun! But I always look forward to when our schedules go back to normal. All the family visitors are gone :( Nash's birthday was a success and he got so much stuff, I think I need a whole other room for all of it. Everyone that came from out of town helped out with the party, which was a good thing for us, made it a little less stressful for me.
Now looking ahead to Christmas and thinking that I need to start my Christmas shopping, maybe even tonight. I finally got my rebate card in the mail from my phone purchase.
The one thing Nash is good on is clothes, he has a lot, and it's a good thing, because we were down to the minimum just a week ago.
He got so many cool toys, a lot of Toy Story stuff, Sponge Bob stuff and Spiderman and Batman.
All his favorites.
Lots of hats, too many hats, I think I need to buy him a hat rack for all these hats :) but he does love his hats.
We got our first cold snap of the season last night, I actually had to turn the heat on at our house and I never do that, but for Nash I did. Looking forward to a nice weekend, planning on taking Nash out in his wagon, I can't wait! And hopefully finally get all the toys organized and stuff back to normal at our house.
He has his 12 month check up on Monday, he is just over 20lbs and 30inches long, we are slowly getting him off the formula and to whole milk and he is ready for his big boy car seat, which I hope to buy here in the next couple weeks, he will be so excited to turn around and see what is going on for a change.
But he had to get 4 shots, poor guy, he handled it well though! He is such a big boy now. Getting better everyday at the walking, we just need to start being better about keeping his shoes on more often.
Aunt Jody got him some cool crocs that I think will work perfect right now.
Lunch break is over, back to work, busy, busy, busy!

T minus 2 days until the big party
The big first birthday is upon us, only 2 more full days to get through until it's time. I have about 4 different lists of things I need to get, remember to bring, have my mom bring and pick up last minute going right now. I felt a little overwhelmed last night and little irritated, but I'm better today and sometimes just have to quit trying to make everything so perfect.
We should be getting some birthday packages soon from out of town family, so that is exciting.
I'm still debating on taking those packages to the party or letting Nash open them early :)
I think early is more fun and then I can video tape it for the people who sent it to him.
So fun!
I have a lot of family coming in to town the next 3 days, lots of things happening. And I think I have finally decided to just take Friday off, as much I really wanted to work a half day and get at least 4 good hours in, I don't think it's gonna happen, I still just have too much to do and it would be nice to have that time to get it done, plus Barb will be getting in Thursday and she is on a very short visit this time around, so I want to be able to hang with her as much as possible. So glad we get to go out to eat Friday night, some adult time, and really looking forward to the restaurant that we are going to as well, should be really good, some place new for a change.
Made a last minute hair appointment for today, I needed it bad, I always know it's time to get a cut when my hair just stops cooperating all together. Plus it has been a good 6 months or more since I got a cut, very much over due for it.
Election day was yesterday, and Prop 400 did not pass, which means a good number of Police and Firefighters will be getting laid off. The latest number that I heard was 130, but I never know what to believe is actually true, but Luke said lay offs wont happen until April, and then on the news this morning they said there would be more lay offs in June of 2011. Just not good news at all. Overall pretty sad :(
But other things are happening for us right now that could turn out to be really good for us.
Very excited about it and keeping my fingers crossed and thinking all good things, because I honestly just don't know how our life will be a year from now, which is a little crazy, but also very exciting!
Happy Birthday Nash, if I don't get a chance to get on here again before 11/7!
This year has just flown by, a year ago today, I was miserable and in a lot of pain and in and out of the hospital, but it of course was all worth it!

Trick or Treat
Yesterday was Halloween, no costumes or pumpkins for us this year, but we did have quite a few trick or treaters and they ate all our candy :(
Nash is now into trying to reach the front door door knob, he can almost reach it.
I got a crazy amount of cleaning done on Saturday. It's amazing how much more productive I can be when there is no dogs, no husband and no kid around. I actually enjoyed it.
Picked up a few more things for the birthday boy at Toys R Us, decided I would wait on the mini golf clubs and give those to him a Christmas.
Friday night Luke and I got to go see Hereafter, I liked it, but was not as impressed as I thought I was gonna be. Now I really want to go see Paranormal Activity 2.
As of right now the head count for the birthday party is 29, counting myself, Luke and Nash as well.
I ordered the cake last night, hopefully it is enough and they spell his name correctly, I was a little worried with the gal that was taking the order.
I'm still gonna have to make another big trip to the grocery store with Luke to pick up everything else, no clue when I will get that done, this week is looking to be a busy one, that's for sure!
I'm starting to think instead of taking a half day Friday I should just take the whole day off so I can get some stuff done in the morning and have Luke to help me and Neno ( Barb) can watch Nash.
Colts play tonight on Monday night football...and Aunt Debby gets in this evening.
Busy, busy, busy!

Finally movie night is here!
The last 24 hours have felt a little crazy. I finally was able to go pick up my wedding band yesteray from the jewelers and now it looks all brand new again. But of course it takes very little time for me to scratch up the bottom of the band. But at least it is shiny for now.
Last night after getting home from Wal-mart I fed Nash his dinner and he was eating some baby goldfish crackers and he choked, it's so scary when that happens, I of course had to stick my finger down his throat, he pretty much hated me for the next 2 minutes but then was back to himself just in time for his bath. Woke up this morning at 330 and could not fall back asleep for the life of me and once Luke get's up at 445 I was pretty much wide awake. I hope I can make it through this movie tonight and don't get too tired.
Just pretty much glad it's Friday, a little bummed we aren't going to the Haunted House tonight and not going to the game on Sunday. But glad we get to go to the movies tonight after dinner with my Mom.
I heard that Paranormal Activity was really good, I hope we can maybe go see that too sometime soon.
Happy Halloween this weekend!

Just when you think you don't have to worry
The money monster comes right back to bite you in the butt. Or at least that is how I like to look at it. We seemed to be worry free for the last part of August and all of September. And now back to reality. Back to penny pinching and sometimes just hating life because of it. All I can say is that I am so thankful that I started buying Nash's birthday presents in June, because had I not, I don't know what I would have done at this very moment. I know he will have a wonderful birthday and get lots of great stuff and that is what makes me happy. The more I look at his haircut, the less I like it, there are some parts that need to be trimmed up by Luke, hopefully it will grow out a little bit sooner then later :)
Didn't get to go see a movie last night and now I don't think we are going to go Haunted Housing because it is $21 per person and we really just shouldn't be spending that kind of money. In fact I would rather go see a movie for a total of $20 instead of the haunted house, I'm too old for haunted houses. Hopefully our friends will understand our predicament.
I still don't have a good head count on who is coming to the party. This makes things more stressful then they should be. My fear is that no one will show up and it will just be my small amount of family that will be in town. I at least know that Erika is coming and her two kids.
I just hope the weather is nice, not too hot and not too windy and the food is good!

double checked for accuracy
Picked Mom up at the airport yesterday, worked out and then met Luke, Nash, Mom up at Chick fil a for dinner. Nash got his big boy haircut yesterday and he did really good. Luke said he didn't squirm at all, Luke took lots of pictures, it was cute!
Packed the car up this morning and took both dogs and Nash over to my Mom. The dogs were too excited to contain themselves, Bobby whined the whole way there. They love staying with her.
Nash was not too happy to see me leave, he was crying for a good 5 minutes before I even walked out the door. Luke gets to play golf today, and tonight we are going to go see a movie, I can't wait. There are 4 movies in the running that I really want to see that are out right now. I really can't decide. But I think it will end up being Hereafter, because I know Luke wants to see that one too.
I stopped and grab some breakfast from McD's this morning and they forgot to put the Sausage on my Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit, I didn't even notice until like the 3 bite. And I like how they have a sticker on the wrapper that says "double checked for accuracy" GOOD ONE!
A big FAIL for them, they're lucky I'm not the type of person who would march right back in there and complain to get what I actually paid for.

waking up late ruins my day
Why is it that getting off on the wrong foot in the morning can just make your whole day seem out of whack. Some how this morning I managed to turn off my alarm and sleep until about the time I would be making my lunch and getting ready to head out the door. So I of course rush to get ready, which I hate doing, because I ultimately end up getting hot just trying to hurry and it just ruins my whole flow for the rest of the day. Amazingly enough after a speedy drive and no sight of any police cars I managed to get to work only 5 minutes late. But I still feel off in some way.
Saw that the mid-west is getting slammed with some bad storms. I hope my Mom got on her flight and doesn't have any delays. But I haven't heard from her so I'm not really sure yet.
I don't even know where she was connecting from.
I have someone how managed to get a lot done since I got here, and as usual take my little break to eat some candy and update my blog. We have pretty much cleaned out the second bucket o candy here at the office. I have been loading up on jaw breakers and super bubble.
Nash was so hyper last night...I got home from my workout and Luke left to go watch some Monday night football and eat his wings up at Riskys. Nash had been sleeping since Luke got home with him, and of course as soon as Luke left he woke up. So I made dinner for both of us and I think he was just really hungry but also just wired. I ended up giving him his bottle early and letting him play and then Luke put him to bed at 730 and the little bugger laid in his crib for the next hour and a half talking to himself. He seemed be really enjoying himself, so finally at about 9pm I went in there and to see what he was doing. He was laying on his back with his feet propped up on his crib playing with Sharkey. He as just as happy as a peach and had the biggest smile on his face when I said what are you doing?
I think maybe 45 minutes later he was finally asleep. Such a crazy little guy, I just love him!
Hopefully he sleeps a good while this morning. I gave Luke one assignment today, well actually two, he is to take Nash to get a hair cut, his first hair cut done professionally and then take him to get the other lab test done, that was suppose to happen at his 9 month check up.
Hopefully he follows through on both...but we'll find out this evening when I see him.

Great weekend
Had an uneventful weekend, but it was so nice, finally the AC is off and hopefully will remain off for quite sometime. We manage to eat home cooked meals for the past 3 days which is always a good thing in my book if we can manage it. I got some heavy duty cleaning done on part of the downstairs. Didn't get a chance to make it to the gym but will definitely be going tonight. Really just had a relaxing weekend, nothing exciting that I can even write about happened. Oh we did get Nash's first birthday present in the mail, so we decided to go ahead and let him open it. It was from Popo and Gigi, he got Buzz Lightyear and Woody stuffed dolls, a fire truck and police car, and a Toy Story 2 Book and a police t-shirt that is just sooo cute! He loves the cars has been playing with them a lot and he keeps putting them under the couch.
Made one of my favorite meals last night, Cheesey Turkey meatloaf, it was so good, in fact I already know that I will be eating leftovers tonight, as Luke will be going to Risky's for Monday night football.
My Mom gets in to town tomorrow, it will be nice to have her around and Nash will be staying with her and it will also give Luke and I a chance to go see a movie and go out for some adult fun time, I'm looking forward to it. I think we are going to try and go see Hereafter on Wednesday night, there are so many movies out right now that I really do want to see it is a tough decision, but I think I will hold off and Social Network until it comes out on DVD. And I don't really need to see Paranormal Activity 2, or maybe we will go see that next week:)
Pretty boring blog today:)

Hot Air Balloons
When I take Nash to the sitter over in Marana there is always at least one hot air balloon floating along the mountains, it's so cool. Today there were two of them. Even though I think I would be scared out of my mind I think it might be something fun for Luke and I do too, maybe someday we'll get around to trying it, it looks very peaceful and calm. It is a chilly, chilly morning today, I love it. I had to get Nash all bundled up, and have realized he has no pants, he really only has 5 pairs of pants excluding his pajama pants. So I need to get him some here soon and actually add to his pajama collection as well.
Even his little sweat jackets are a little too small, might one to look into that as well.
I made a trip back to the party supply store yesterday and got a few more things for the birthday party, I think I have covered everything except silverware, cake, balloons and food, and that can all wait at least until next week, I need to figure out about ordering the cake though and where to get it from.
Nash was not a happy guy this morning when I left him with Maria, I hate seeing him like that, hopefully he outgrows this stage soon. I got his 12 month check up scheduled and I made an appointment to finally after over a year get our water softener hooked up. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to do it but oh well.
Luke bids today for his new schedule for the first of the year, I think he is gonna try to go back to nights like he was working before Nash was born. I already know that schedule will work for us and the sitter, but it's gonna cost us more so I'm not sure that is the best, but oh well.
I still think we need to look into a daycare for him, but we'll see what happens.
We are getting closer to finding out what is happening with the lay offs, and praying it doesn't effect us, but we'll see what happens.
I will be able to get another work out in tonight, really happy about that, and I'm gonna try to get it another one tomorrow as well, but I really need to get my house clean and just do a really good scrub clean. Not looking forward to it and I still need to get some yard work done as well. Looks like I know how I will be spending my weekend!

Nash's hat obsession
Nash loves to play this game with Luke where he takes Luke's hat off and then tries to put it back on Luke's head. He now has this obsession with hats, he loves to have them on this head, loves to chew on them and he even sleeps with his Colts hat in his crib, it's so cute. Makes me want to buy him a hat for his birthday, not that I really need to get him anything else. I probably should focus more on Christmas shopping now.
Last night he stood on his own for a record amount of time, probably like 30 seconds, but it was the longest so far, I think he is really enjoying this whole learning to walk thing.
My plan for cooking a good meal went down the drain as soon as I got home last night. I ended up going to Taco Bell for Luke and I. And I took Brewski along for the ride, sometimes I think Brewski needs some one on one time with out Bobby around to get the attention that he used to get before Bobby came into the family :) It was a good day yesterday I got to talk to Andrea, twice which is very rare, I talked to Anne while she was still in the hospital and talked to Ameena briefly.
It's nice to be able to gab with my girlfriends for a good 30 minutes each because it just doesn't happen enough anymore, I miss them a lot!
I woke up today to a very cloudy dreary morning with a little bit of rain and colder temps and I love it. I almost broke out the Hunter boots this morning, but decided to wait a little longer:)
It's Thursday, which means that Nash and I will be going to Wally world for our weekly grocery trip! I'm hoping maybe to hit up the party supply store too to get the rest of the stuff that I need for Nash's birthday so that I don't have to worry about it later.
I really need to make a point today to call someone to see if we can get our water softener hooked up, I'm so sick of dealing and cleaning with the after math of hard water! The $125 should be worth it by now!
Got in another awesome workout yesterday, I'm doing really good, I just need to stay on track and work out some kind of schedule with Luke so I can fit in my workouts on the days that he is working as well!

Congrats to the Tennery Family
I woke up this morning to a nice text message from Anne that baby Olivia Lee Tennery was born at 159am and that everyone was doing great. I'm so happy for Anne and Jeremy and Bristol and I can't wait to meet the new addition in January when we head home.
I also got to talk to one of my best friends today which is rare these days, all of us being so busy.
She happened to be in Indy and was going to surprise Anne and stop by the hospital to see them and the new baby. I'm sure will just be thrilled to see her! I let Eileen know who is all the way in Hong Kong, I was hoping she would be on Skype this morning which is actually late at night in Hong Kong, but she wasn't so I messaged her on facebook and hopefully I will get to talk to her tomorrow.
My new phone has been acting up, just realized last night that none of my text messages were being sent out, was practically on the phone with Verizon all day today. But I think we finally got it fixed, of course they had to wipe my phone completely clean, that sucked bc I lost what little pictures I had already on there.
I had another successful workout yesterday and delicious dinner, grilled by my husband and sides my by me and Nash ate another big boy meal, he has some kind of crazy appetite, I think he could eat forever if we didn't stop him. He is really getting better with his walking and each day gets just a little bit closer, I really hope within the next month he gets it, I just can't wait for him to be walking, we need to practice with some shoes on, that would prevent him from trying to stand up on his tippy toes all the time. He really is testing us with is antics of seeing how long we will let him touch something that we continuously tell him "No" and then he gets really upset when we finally have to pick him up and move him. We have gotten into the habit of letting him take sips out of our cups and last night Luke was drinking a beer and Nash got so upset when Luke would not let him have a sip of it, he just didn't understand. We had a good night of him sleeping through the whole night thank God for that. But I once again overslept, every day this week I have either over slept or been running late in some form.
Today, I have another workout ahead of me, and then home to cook another delish dinner for the family and then hopefully just relaxing, we are supposed to get rain and the temps will be pretty cool tomorrow, I can't wait, I am loving this weather so much right now.
Lots to get done still for Nash's party, I decided to go a whole different route with the goody bags for the kids at the party, instead of being crafty I will just buy some Sponge Bob boxes to put the goodies in. It will look better that way :)
Still don't really have a good head count on who all will be there, but I think we should have a pretty good number, so I'm really looking forward to it, I can't wait to give Nash all of his toys and of course finally put that wagon to some good use. He is going to love it once we can actually pull him on the street in it. My husband said he was going to get some things done today, like yard work and take Nash to get another test at the lab done, but we'll see how much he really got done when I get home, I do have to get him credit , he straightened up the house yesterday before I got home, which is always nice, I like to come home to a non-chaotic house hold.

unhappy little boy
Today is gonna be difficult, I am way too tired to do anything, I was up pretty late with an unhappy little boy. Lately he has been waking up at some point during the night and just crying, and then I will go and hold him or rock him for a little bit and lay him back down and he usually goes back to sleep with out a fight, but last not he was not having it at all. Finally after 3 or 4 times of laying him down letting him cry and then going back in there and doing it again, he finally fell asleep. But then this morning I tried to sneak in his room to cover him up and he woke up and started crying again, so I had to get his bottle for him. Sometimes he wakes up to the slightest sound and other times he can sleep through Bobby's howling.
It is finally, finally feeling like fall here in Tucson, cooler temps, no air conditioning, I hope it continues and we don't get another heat wave anytime soon.
Got in a good workout yesterday and even though I don't want to go today I will make myself and take advantage of the days that I am able to get in the gym.
Luke's schedule will probably be changing in the next couple months which means our whole routine will be changing as well.
I'm still strongly considering enrolling Nash in to an actual daycare, there is one near my work that I want to check out, and seems very affordable, at least on our budget it does.
I just want him to get more socialized with other young kids and learn too.
We'll see what happens, who knows what will happen in the next few months.

I knew there was a good reason...
I'm about half way to the sitters house and I realize I didn't shut the garage door, or at least I don't remember shutting the garage door. But really cannot remember if I did or didn't. After dropping off Nash I decide it's best to go back home to make sure I did shut it, because I would hate to come home to an empty house, especially after dealing with the wrath of Luke's golf clubs getting stolen out of our garage while I was home. I just didn't want to risk it, so I drive all the way back home and of course it was shut, but I felt better about double checking. I text Erika and let her know I will be late to work and make my way back to work, an hour behind the usual time that I would leave home. Now all the school kids are outside waiting for the bus, and I can't help but to notice the time and wonder if that will be me in a few years, waiting with Nash at the school bus stop. Then I start to remember why I leave for work at 620am, because that early I never get stuck behind the school bus, annoyed I deal with it and get on to Oracle only to realize traffic is sooo heavy right now, and then there is an accident at one of the busiest intersections on my commute so that holds me up for a good 10 extra minutes, once again annoyed, but thankful that's not be in the fender bender because those people are truly having a terrible Monday and that is not how you want to start a week. Finally 8am and I arrive to work, what normally is a 40-45 minute commute turned into an hour and a half commute, BLAH!
This weekend was good, make a great dinner Friday night, according to Luke, it was one of the best so far! I always like to hear that! Saturday I took my rings into to get re-dipped and the lady that was helping me proceeded to argue with me of how much my wedding band was...she tried to tell me compared to something in her store it was only $1200 and I'm like we paid over $3000 for it...I then decided to take the ring back and told her I would take it to the jeweler where it was purchased, I didn't know this was going to be so difficult! Some people are so annoying and soo snobby! Got in a great workout Saturday evening, and had another delish meal for dinner. Yesterday was a lazy day filled with laundry and minimal cleaning.
Nash had his first piece of pizza and he LOVED it! He is such the big boy!
We watched the Colts game and then I watched the movie Crazy Heart, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Today will be another good workout after work and then leftovers for dinner while Luke goes and eats his wings at Risky's and watches Monday night Football, this seems to becoming a routine with him on Monday's so I don't count on making dinner on Monday's at least while football season is going on :) The Colts won, so that's always a good way to start out the week!
Mom will be here next week, lots to get done before then!

Routines and chaos
It has become very apparent to me that I have a routine in everything that I do, not much has become very spontaneous, mostly because I am such the planner, but from morning routines, to work routines, to weekly and even weekend routines. I do the same thing every day, every night, every weekend. Every Thursday I go to the grocery, and this is also bath night for Nash.
I also make it a point to sit down by 8pm no matter what to watch Grey's Anatomy. I have my nightly routine of washing my face, brushing the teeth, having a good idea of what I'm wearing the next day, so I don't waste any time deciding in the morning. Our whole life is one big routine, and only gets changed up a bit when relatives visit or we go on vacation or we spontaneously decide to go out for dinner one night. But when we get throwin off our routine suddenly we tend to get stressed out a little or at least I do. This morning for example was a little chaotic, from the time I got in the shower to when I arrived at work. The stress actually woke me up a little bit, which is good, but now I actually feel a little bit exhausted. It's starting to get harder to leave Nash with the sitter because he realizes now when I leave and he starts to cry. I know he is in good hands, but it makes it a little tougher.
My Hunter boots arrived last night, but I didn't see the box until this morning, I tried them on, they were too big and the Aubergine was more like Barney purple, so I called Zappos to do an exchange and their customer service is so wonderful. The already shipped me a new pair, a smaller size and Black so that I have them by Monday and then I just have to get the Aubergine ones returned, probably drop them off at the UPS store tomorrow. They are definitely right on the money with awesome customer service, I couldn't be happier, hopefully these black ones will fit better, but I did love the purple ones, or at least the boot itself.
Another weekend ahead of me, not sure what I will be doing, probably should get my house cleaned, but I'm sure I will hold off until last minute like I always do with that. I need to finish up the darn goody bags for Nash's birthday.

Blackberry Crackberry
Well my wonderful husband decided to postpone him getting a new phone, at least for a week :) It's so expensive for us both to upgrade, and he didn't want another Blackberry to take advantage of the buy one get one free, so I have the new Blackberry Curve, they are not even technically selling them yet. I love it! I was pretty much over the whole touch screen from the Blackberry Storm. Now I just need to make sure to mail in my rebate to get the $100 back. My patience was wearing thin yesterday, having Nash with us, of course he is too big and too heavy to be carried around in his car seat anymore but he isn't walking yet, so you try to hold him and all he wants to do is squirm, I don't blame him. Luke cooked dinner last night, so I got the night off, although I skipped working out, I was too excited about getting the new phone I guess :)
Watched some good TV and called it a night after messing around on my phone for a couple of hours.
Today is grocery day! I hate going to the grocery and I especially hate the fact that I have to go to Wal-Mart in the hopes of saving that much more money I deal with the annoyance of going there every week with Nash in tow to get our food for the week. I pretty much know the store like the back of my hand, so it is easier then it used to be, that is as long as Nash doesn't have a melt down in the store, so far this has only happened once.
Last night we put him in the playpen while we ate dinner and he hated it, he threw every single toy on the floor and then just stood there and screamed louder and harder then I have ever heard him scream, of course we thought this was hilarious and so he was laughing too, but I truly hope he never does this public :)
Tonight is my favorite TV night, can't wait for Grey's and some Destination Truth!
Now I need to get on Crackberry to get some songs on my new phone..peace out!

Peanut Butter overload
I think at some point very soon my body is going to start to hate me because I eat so much peanut butter on a daily basis. Especially this week! I ran out of cereal so I have been eating peanut butter toast, for my mid-morning snack I have been eating peanut butter crackers, for lunch I have peanut butter and jelly and a few mini reese cups, for my afternoon snack I have a peanut butter chocolate chip Quaker bar. For some reason every since I went back to work from maternity leave I have been eating Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch every day, unless I go to Subway or it's Thursday and I don't take a lunch. It's so weird, what worries me is the show I saw recently on TLC where this kid was eating pizza for every meal for like a year or something and it was basically causing him to be really, really sick. Hopefully this is not the same kind of thing that I have got going on :)
On a totally different note, I'm obsessed right now with the movie Catfish...I just watched an episode of 20/20 last Friday and they did a whole story on the movie or documentary and it is just fascinating to me, the things that people out there do..kind of scary and the fact that it revolves around facebook is even better, I still need to go see Social Network, maybe when my mom gets into town Luke and I will take advantage of a free sitter and go see a movie or two:)
Nash has learned how to give kisses, not sure where he learned it, but I asked him to give me a kiss last night and he immediately put his face and open mouth on my mouth, I thought he was going to bite me, but it was so cute, it did it a few more times and then when Luke got home I tried to show him and Nash wouldn't do it anymore. He is so funny, I have rounded up most of his baby toys, like rattlers, most of his teethers, stuff like that and I'm gonna box them up so we can make more room for all his new stuff he is getting for his birthday. I'm pretty sure he could play with the remote, a bottle of water and play tug o war with Bobby and his toys and he would be quite content :)
Tonight Luke and I are going to Verizon to get new phones, we are eligible for our free upgrade, I think I'm gonna stick with the Blackberry but not the Storm, I'm over the whole touch screen thing, I want the original Blackberry. I'm excited, who doesn't love getting a new phone to play with and learn all the cool stuff on, but we have to figure out how to lower our phone bill, it has just been too high lately, so hopefully we can get that taken care of and hopefully this doesn't take all night.
I'm trying to get back on some kind of work out schedule, but I just have lost all motivation lately, plus Bally's changed their hours and are not as open as late as they used to be.
Can't say enough about loving this weather right now or at least the evenings and mornings, I will really be loving it when I can go back to leaving the sliding door open for the dogs when I am home for them to go in and out as they please, I hope for Nash's birthday the weather is just perfect! I'm getting really excited for the party and hope everyone that we invited here in Tucson will be able to come, I have invested some time in making cute Sponge Bob goody bags, so I hope for that sake they do come.
I still have a few things I need to get, some decorations, I am hoping to get some applique to bake on sugar cookies or something like that, but we'll see and Aunt Debby is bringing a bag of crabby paddy gummies for the goody bags too!

talking Nash
It seems that when Nash is blabbering he really is trying to have a serious conversation with you or so he thinks, and then he will do his little fake cough and fake laugh. He has some kind of personality, can't wait until he is really talking. We worked this past weekend on his walking with the hat game. He loves to take Luke's hat off his head and then put it back on his head, you could play this game with him for hours.
So I put the hat on my head and made him stand up and walk to get the hat, it worked, he has the whole standing up on his own and keeping his balance down, and he would take a step and then just fall, but he was getting better, we just need to keep working on it.
I finally took the time to fill his wagon with all the toys and clothes that I have been purchasing since June, the wagon is pretty full, but I just can't help to still want to buy more stuff, maybe just a few more small things:) And then I guess I can start my Christmas shopping soon, or maybe wait until after his birthday, bc anything I buy from now until then I'm gonna want to give to him for his birthday. I spent the weekend working on the goody bags for the other kids, now I just hope these other kids actually come to the party! I pretty much have everything, just need to get a card table, a few more table cloths and maybe some Sponge Bob center pieces, and decor and then the Balloons and cake will have to wait until much closer to the party.
I ordered the Hunter boots that I have been dying to get forever, I finally caved and ordered them yesterday through Zappos, I got the Aubergine color instead of going with black, this way I think I can wear them with more color options and they are still dark, so not too flashy. Here is to hoping that I don't have any buyers remorse. Luke okayed me getting them, considering I really never splurge on myself anymore, I get small, cheap or on clearance items here and there for myself, but not like this, so I am one happy lady today, hopefully they arrive by the weekend.
The nights and mornings have been very cool here lately, down in the 50's, so I have been able to open up the balcony door while we are sleeping and let the cool and fresh air in, it has been so nice. But it is still getting up into the mid 80's and 90's, now we just need that low 70's and 60's weather to get here and I will be happy :)
I always stop myself from buying Nash too warm of clothes, bc I feel like it's a waste, maybe I will wait a little bit until closer to the time we go home in January to get him really warm stuff, or at least get him a few things for Christmas. Really can't wait to put up our Christmas tree!

Cooler weather has arrived
Since the weekend we have had perfect weather and even lots of rain, it's odd this time of year, but I am loving it. Too bad I can't go get the Huntsman boots that I really want, or I guess I could, but I might be looked at oddly. This morning it was actually a little chilly, I guess I need to start watching the weather instead of assuming it is going to be hot and sunny.
Luke and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday. I came home to big vase of flowers, with lots of Lillies, my favorite and a new copy of my new favorite movie "It's Complicated" I can't wait to watch it. Over the weekend we had a garage sale on Saturday, I had a lot of stuff and a lot of good clothes, we made less then $50 and $40 of it went to the babysitter we had Saturday night while Luke and I went out to dinner and a movie. We enjoyed some Outback and then saw that movie "The Town" it was really good. It was a late night, and Sunday Luke let me sleep in while he watched Nash, I don't remember the last time I was able to sleep in, I forgot how nice it is. It was pretty much a lazy day. Luke went to Riskys to watch the Colts game, and I stayed home with Nash and watched HBO all day. We got HBO back for the next 6 months. I also forgot how nice it is to have HBO.
Yesterday Luke put together Nash's Radio Flyer wagon and we just had to put him in it to test it out, he LOVES it. But it is his birthday present so I'm gonna hold off on more rides, I need to fill it up with all the toys and clothes that I have been buying since June :)
We went to Applebees last night to take advantage of the 2 for $20 meal deal they have, it was pretty good, then we went over to the Party City so I could look at some stuff for Nash's birthday party. I picked up a few things for the goody bags for the kids, but I don't want to commit to too much until I know for sure who is coming.
Last week we received some good news, or at least we think it is good news involving the lay offs.
The US Department of Justice has chosen Tucson Police Department as one of the agencies they are giving money too. They get $12 million which will pay for 50 officers salaries for the next 3 years, so we think this means that Luke will not be getting laid off and hopefully no one else from his academy class as well.
But the Chief said nothing will be done with the money until after November elections, they are still waiting to see if that 1/2 cent tax will go through. So things around here are a lot less stressful that is for sure. After refinancing and not having to pay a mortgage payment last month, we were able to put that money in our savings, so that we now have a tiny bit of a cushion should we need it. Now I need to start focusing on my Christmas shopping for Nash, got to make it a good one this year since it's just us.
We still don't know what the future holds regarding Luke's employment, things could change within the next year for better I hope or they could stay the same, which I would be totally fine with, I love our house. But we are looking towards the future and looking at different options, very exciting times could be ahead of us.

The Denver Trip
We made it back home from a successful trip to Denver. It wasn't the smoothest of trips that I have experienced with Nash being sick and having a freak out on the plane filled with screaming and crying, the hot weather in Denver, all the diaper blowouts and the altitude bothering me. It was strange. But Nash just loved Nanook, he would just squeal whenever Nanook would get up around his face and I don't think Nanook really knew what to think of Nash. I was glad to be back home late Monday night and in my own bed in the air conditioning. And of course happy to see my doggies, they went crazy when we got home. Love those guys! I still have not attempted the daunting task of unpacking, and with the garage sale this weekend and our anniversary celebration, it's gonna be a busy weekend and days leading up to it. Everything just might have to wait until Sunday. I'm really hoping we make a descent amount of cash on Saturday at the garage sale. Luke has never worked a garage sale, so he doesn't really know what to expect and I fear the worst.
He doesn't understand the concept of pricing things low so that they get sold. We'll see what happens and hope for the best. I'm just glad he was able to switch his days off and stay home Saturday to help me with it, otherwise I would have to wait until spring time for the next neighborhood garage sale.
Looking forward to our date night on Saturday for our anniversary, looks like it's gonna be a late dinner and even later movie, but I can't wait!

Getting closer
We are getting closer to our Colorado getaway, I can't wait. The weather is going to be perfect and there is a fall festival in Boulder that we are going to go check out Saturday.
Sunday, I will be able to just relax with Nash and enjoy Nanook and Charlie's company while the guys are at the game.
And hopefully the Zoo on Monday or something fun for Nash.
On another note, there was recall on the formula that we buy Nash. Had it not been for people posting it on facebook, I would have not known about it, so I am grateful for that, because the container that we currently using was included in the recall, so I have to go get some more today.
But on the other hand I really don't appreciate some of the Mom's comments on facebook saying they would never give their children formula, or thank God their baby doesn't drink formula.
It really bothers me when other Mom's who breast feed and only breast feed put down Mom's who don't or put down using formula in general.
Not all of us Mom's are lucky enough to be able breast feed for the first year or even at all for that matter. And no Mother should judge another Mother for whatever they choose to do.
We are supposed to be supporters to each other, not make someone feel bad because they can't breast feed or chose not too, whatever the reason may be.
People just don't know when to bite their tongues sometimes.
Today, Nash and I will make a quick trip to Old Navy to see if I can find any good clearance stuff for him, once again adding to the birthday/Christmas collection.
If I didn't have to go by myself I would actually consider going shopping this year on Black Friday, but I don't think it would be worth it unless I had someone else to join me at the task.
Nash has officially figured out how to get out of his play go round thingy, I unfortunately witnessed the last part of him tumbling out of it yesterday after putting him in it so that I could vacuum. Luckily he was smart enough to not land on his head, but I couldn't believe he had gotten out of it, looks like it is time for us to take the chair part off and just use the table for him to play on and get the pack n play out so we can put him in that if we have to leave the room for some reason. Of course we have still not purchased the inevitable baby gate, I still can't decide if it's worth the money to put one at the top of the stairs, or at least not just yet. We may put it off until he actually starts walking, which at this point could be very soon.
Still really hoping I can fit all of our stuff including the car seat base in 1 suitcase, I was able to stuff the car seat in a big duffel bag we already have, and I got the booster seat in there too, so I didn't have to go out and purchase one of those big bags for it at Babies R Us, that will have to wait until we upgrade to a bigger car seat, which once again, will be sooner then later, Nash is so long his poor feet hang out of the seat. One thing at a time, luckily with refinancing this month, we have been able to put a some money away in savings, so it's nice to know that we have it in case of an emergency. I finally had a plumber come look at our sink and disposal, the disposal needs replaced and he fixed the faucet with no charge. I think Luke and I are going to take on the task of just buying a disposal and trying to install it ourselves so that we don't have to pay $300 for someone else to do it. Just another thing to add to the list :)

Denver this weekend!
Finally told Luke his birthday surprise on Sunday, or I actually left him a note, surprising him with the news that we are going to Denver for 3 days and he is going to the Colts vs Broncos game with Jason. Needless to say he is pretty happy. Thank goodness it is only a 2 hour flight with no connections, it seems for 3 days we have a lot of stuff we have to take for Nash and I'm hoping we can get everything in one suitcase, and I also hoping I can fit the car seat and base in a big duffel bag that we have and then we will have the big stroller as well. But the trouble is worth it.
It seems like the weather should be pretty nice, cool at night and not too hot during the day.
The guys will be tailgating Sunday, so I will be at the house with the dogs and Nash, hopefully I can keep him busy all day, not being at our own house worries me a little on how he will do with napping, sleeping and playing in general. But I really can't wait to see him with Nanook and Charlie, he is so used to the small dogs we have he is not gonna know what to do when he sees Nanook. I will be taking lots of pictures that is for sure. I think we are banking on going to the zoo on Monday, as long as the weather stays nice, otherwise it will be the aquarium, either way it will be nice. Somehow we got a fraudulent charge on our account, used from Luke's card and used as a debit, not sure how that is even possible, they would have had to know his PIN number. So I canceled my card and I have to now wait 10 days to get a new one, luckily Luke just got his new one in the mail.
And the charge was not cheap, $173 worth of something, I just hope we can get it reimbursed.
I have lots to get done this week before leave, cleaning. laundry, packing. Mike is gonna come stay at the house and watch the boys for us, very grateful for that. I will miss them!

Another week done and moving on to the weekend
I have Luke's birthday coming up and our 2 year anniversary as well, plus I am hoping Luke can switch his furlough day to Oct 2nd so he can help me with the garage sale in our neighborhood.
I can't do it by myself and watch Nash. If not there is always the spring garage sale.
But I want to make a little extra cash that we can put in our savings.
We decided to open up a savings/college fund for Nash for his 1st birthday.
Even though we are celebrating Luke's birthday next weekend, I think I am going to go ahead and tell him what we are doing this weekend, so that he has the whole week to be excited about it.
I'm really looking forward to it.
No big plans for our anniversary, I think we are just going to get a sitter and plan a date night so that we can go see a movie. We don't get to go see movies enough, like we used to.
Nash is finally better and does not have a rash anymore. No idea what the rash was from to begin with, just glad it is gone and he is feeling better.
No news this week on the lay offs, so we just keep trucking a long. Finally go the tools to hang up Nash's swing, so that is one thing we will be doing this weekend and we got his Radio Flyer wagon for his birthday present from us. Now I just have to fill it up with all the toys and stuff that I bought him.

Gonna be a long night tonight!
Luke took on an overnight shift tonight to make some extra, much needed money, which is great, except for the fact that it is an overnight gig, it has been so long since he has not been here overnight, I forgot what that even feels like. He is gonna have a hard time adjusting to that schedule and then back to his regular day schedule, but I'm glad he is doing it. We are already creeping up to the end of this month, which makes me wonder how much longer will I have to wait for this so called list to come out. Trying not to think about it, but it is really hard not too.
Back on my work out schedule today, gotta get that in and then get home, get dinner cooked so Luke can eat before he goes off to work for the night.
Nash has developed a rash over most of his body, I think he has had an allergic reaction to something we ate over the weekend, not sure if it was from dinner Saturday or Sunday, or I guess it could have been from his teething or maybe he did have some kind of virus. He doesn't have a fever and has been playing and eating just fine, so those are all good signs.
Maybe I will finally get around to watching Dear John tonight, well at least that is my plan.

Monday, Monday
Another Monday has come and is almost gone! Thank goodness for that!
Not much of anything to talk about from this past weekend. Nash had a pretty bad fever on Friday when I picked him up from the sitters and all evening, he had no appetite, I gave him some Tylenol and luckily he got better and seemed to be back to normal yesterday. Hopefully it was just a teething thing, I think I am ready for the teething to be over and we have just begun.
Another successful weekend of home cooked dinner each night, always a good thing when I don't have to spend any money. There is absolutely nothing on the agenda for this week. My one goal is to get Nash's swing hung up, I keep saying that I'm gonna do it and never get around to making a trip to the hardware store to get what I need to make it happen. Luke is playing some free golf today, so who knows when he will be getting home, but that means I am going to treat myself to some Nico's for dinner or maybe Wendy's they both sound really, really good.
I did get the house cleaned yesterday, most of it, which was my goal. However I spent a whole weekend again not even leaving the house, it's craziness. I'm really looking forward to the surprise trip I have planned for Luke coming up next weekend. I hope he loves it, and it will be nice for us to get away as a family. Now I just have to decide how and when I am going to tell him about his surprise trip, I really want to wait as long as possible, like even up to the day before if possible! I might not be able to wait that long, but we'll see. Gotta make sure I have our house sitter plans all squared away, so that are doggies are well taken care of while we are gone.

very tired Friday
I am so tired today, did not sleep well last night at all. Have been in a bad mood since Luke dropped Nash off to me at work yesterday. Luckily I was able to go home and nap while Nash took a 2 hour nap himself, then we made our weekly trip to Wal-Mart. And by the time we got home I had just enough time to feed him dinner, let him play for a little bit, he must have been too full from dinner or too tired but he didn't want anything to do with his bed time bottle. And of course leave it to Bobby to run in Nash's room and wake him up at 530 this morning, no doubt by then Nash was starving, he went right back to sleep after his bottle, which I knew would not be a good thing since I would have to wake him up so we could leave by 630 to get to the sitters.
He was grumpy and not happy to be at the sitter's this morning, I felt bad leaving him.
I need this day to go fast. Nothing on the agenda for this weekend, probably clean, since I have been putting off, I need to get to my movies that I have had for a week now.
The good news is that I got one of the park ramadas reserved for Nash's birthday, hoping of course that it won't be raining that day. But November is generally rain free and just really nice out, so I can't wait!
I just hope we have enough people here to consider it a party :( Hopefully Barb will be able to come out, she is going to see what she can do and get back to me.
Jason is now planning on coming out for it and Mom and Dad will be here.
So that will be nice. I need to get the Red Wagon from Toys R Us soon and I guess I should start considering buying stuff for Christmas as well for Nash, I want him to have a great Christmas too.
This will be the first time we put up the tree at this house and the first time in at least 2 years that I will be putting it up, I can't wait! Too bad Luke has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day this year, but he will be home during the evenings.

Budget cut article
So I read an article this morning about the City council and the budget cuts that are going to be done. It did say that if this 1/2 cent tax does not go through they did give the go ahead to cut Police, Fire and Parks and Rec employees. The number that was thrown out was 659 employees and 274 of them are Police Officers and higher ups. This is not what I wanted to be reading on this Thursday morning, it has only caused my anxiety to go up, I have felt like I need to get sick all morning. Have had that terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach and it won't go away.
I actually read a couple articles, the first one had me thinking that cuts to the Police might not be happening, but after reading the second I realized that would not be the case. So here we sit waiting on this so called list the HR will be churning out and just hope that Luke's name is not on it and if it is then we sit and wait until November and just hope that the people vote on this 1/2 cent tax, which unfortunately is very doubtful :(
I don't know how things are going to play out for us in the next year or few years for that matter.
We are re-thinking somethings and will probably have to make some real grown up decisions and it totally sucks. I knew this bad economy would affect us, but I never dreamed it would affect us to this degree. Here we were a year ago, enjoying our new home, and now it seems to be the only thing that I would rather not be attached too ...but I just love it so much.
The 2 months, could just be the most stressful months of my life so far... Luke seems to be doing much better then I am, maybe I am jumping the gun too much and assuming the worst, but like everyone keeps saying you have to hope for the best and plan for the worst. But it would be so much easier for me to plan for the worst if I knew what that meant.

good Tuesday on to Wednesday
Had a productive day yesterday and last night, I actually worked out, I really, really did not want to go, but I made myself and I'm glad I did. I did some of my physical therapy exercises which I should be doing anyways, my back feels so much better and the leg pain has gone down a lot.
I stopped and picked up some dinner, came home cooked dinner, ate dinner and then we all went on a long walk to the park. Nash was wore out, by the time we got back it was his bed time.
He is such a little stinker I love it! Luke and I watch Cloverfield, well actually I watched it and he read his magazines.
But this day seems to be going really, really slow. I gotta get another workout in tonight and I have no idea what we are going to do for dinner, I guess I will pick up something on the way home again, but this time maybe no cooking required. The weather has been so much cooler, it was in the 70's last night when we went for our walk, of course it had also been raining, but it was so nice outside.

Labor Day Weekend
I never thought I would be spending a 3 day holiday weekend doing absolutely nothing cooped in my house with my son. Not exactly what I had in mind, unfortunately Luke had to work the last 3 days, so it was just Nash and I. I did manage to cook dinner all three nights, but I didn't even get around to watching the movie that I had planned on watching, maybe I will finally get to it tonight.
You'd think after 3 straight days of being lazy that I would be able to get up this morning with difficulty, but that was not the case. It actually seemed harder to wake up and get going and I have a huge lack of motivation to absolutely anything right now, not sure why really.
Thankfully it is a short work week, not that knowing that will make it go by any faster, but here is to hoping.
However Nash was quite the busy little bee this weekend, he favorite thing to do right now is to play in our enclosed living room, and he loves to get all the DVD's out and play with the cases and he keeps putting things underneath the couch and then we can't get them out. And he loves playing tug of war with Bobby and Bobby's squirrel. I think he could do that for hours on end. All this play time makes him very tired, so he has been napping and sleeping great right now. He had spaghetti last night and loved it.

Greatest concert
My wonderful husband surprised with 3rd tow tickets to the David Gray Ray Lamontagne concert on Wednesday night, it was so wonderful!
We dropped Nash off at Maria's, he cried a little bit, but I think it was because we were both standing there and leaving and he is not used to seeing that.
Maria said he did wonderful overnight at her house.
We Nikki come stay at our house with the boys so they wouldn't be alone over night and everything was good with that.
We got to Phoenix, checked into our hotel grabbed some dinner and walked over to Dodge Theatre for the show, our seats were so great, it was just unbelievable we were constantly taking pictures on our phones and posting to facebook.
Ray was awesome and David was even better, overall it was a great show, I think Luke really enjoyed it too, even though he is not quite the die hard fan that I am.
We got up pretty early and grabbed a big breakfast and then headed back home, picked Nash up and we all just had a lazy rest of the day on Thursday. It was sooo nice.
Today is work, working out and grocery and then I have a 3 day weekend to get back in the groove of things.
Overall it was a great getaway for Luke and I ,we need that every once in awhile, but I missed my 3 boys :)
The temperatures are starting to cool off a bit and it seems like monsoon season is officially over, not more rain storms, but we really didn't have much of a monsoon season this year.

Progressive saves the day
I discovered on the way home last night that I have a huge crack in my windshield, apparently happened on the way to work yesterday morning. It's no surprise, but not how I wanted to end my work day yesterday. Thankfully I have awesome insurance through Progressive and they are taking care of it and I don't have to pay anything. Went out to dinner last night at San Carlos Grill, the newest one just opened in Oro Valley, good Mexican food, and we ran into my old boss Gina, I have not seen her in forever and of course we had Nash, so it was nice that Nash got to meet her!
Needless to say I was stuffed after leaving there, and took home lots of leftovers for Luke to eat today. Need to start getting on the ball with Luke's birthday plans. Lots of fun stuff ahead!

Monsoons arrived this weekend
We finally got some good storms and rain this weekend, it was so nice. The temps are a lot cooler, lower 90's, it feels great outside. I need to get on it and get Nash's swing hung up hopefully this week, I just know he will love it!
Great news for Luke, he tracked down his golf clubs that were stolen out of our garage, it was some teenagers that did it. Luke didn't press charges, but warned them that he had a year to decide if he wanted to..I told him that he should, he was just happy he got his clubs back and doesn't have to spend another $1500 on some new ones, and that wouldn't be a for a long time, we don't have that kind of money right now, so I was definitely thankful!
Low key weekend of course, I got all the laundry done, but didn't get any cleaning done. Bought Nash a few more things for his birthday, I'm really starting to have quite the collection of stuff for him, I can't wait to get his wagon, he is gonna have the best birthday possible.
He has been walking while holding on to the couch lately, very exciting, I bought him some shoes at Wal-mart to hopefully help him to not stand on his toes so much, he is getting better with it.
Still have not bought the darn gate for the stairs, I think I'm just putting it off as long as possible, will definitely have to have it by the time he is walking, no excuses!
He has already learned what "no" means and as soon as we say it too him he gives us the worst cry face possible, it is so funny. He is doing really good with his solid foods, even though it takes him forever to finish, I sit with him at the table for as long as it takes to feed him. He loves chicken and turkey I know that much!
This is the big week that we will be leaving Nash over night with Maria, I'm not worried about Nash, I just hope she doesn't have any problems laying him down to sleep and that he sleeps in the pack n play ok, I have a feeling it might be hard for him, not being his bed and all.
September is going to be a good month, Luke's birthday, he is going to be the big 32! he is getting old!!!

Another week done
This week seemed like a long one, not sure why, I have been really bad this week about working out and I guess I will have to get back on that train next week, even though I will only be able to work out maybe 2 days :( That is not good enough, I will have to break out the bike and do some riding I guess.
My poor husband, his really nice set of golf clubs were stolen out of our garage yesterday while I was home. They always sit right by the door going into our house and I noticed they were gone about 6pm when I took some trash out but just thought he had put them in his trunk for some reason, even though I did think it was weird. Well when he got home, he has no longer walked in the door and asked if I had done something with his clubs. Immediately my heart just dropped and I knew they had been stolen.
I have to say I am very surprised, especially in the neighborhood that we live in, which is gated and a nice one in a nice part of town.
I feel some what responsible, since I was at home and left the garage door open, but we always leave our garage door open sometimes we have even accidentally left it open over night and it has never once worried me. Luke did talk to one our neighbors last night and they has mentioned that his son's bike got stolen out of their garage and that they went through 3 different bikes before they finally learned to keep their garage shut.
I guess now we know to always keep our door shut...because there are some shady people in this neighborhood, looking to make money I'm sure.
Luke is going to go check out the Pawn shops to see if maybe that is where they take it. I hope for his sake he finds them, they were really expensive, almost $1800 worth of clubs in there!
On a brighter note, it's Friday, but it looks like all my weekend will consist of is laundry, laundry and cleaning. I still have to go to the store tonight because I never made it there yesterday. Poor Nash, his teeth are just really bothering him, he is however doing really good with all the solid foods that I have been feeding him. He likes Turkey burgers and baked beans, and toast and turkey and McDonald's french fries.
Next week will be nice with the concert on Wednesday and the day off work on Thursday. Nash will be staying with Maria and Nikki will be house sitting for us to watch the dogs for the night.
Of course all of this does not come cheap! But a nice break for both Luke and I.
We are both so stressed, we need it.

everyone is sick
First it was Nash, then Jess, then Emmy and now Luke...I really, really hope that I do not get whatever they have. The doc said that Nash's is mostly from teething, so that is good, but Emmy stayed home from work two days and now Luke is complaining he is sick...not good!
Well we signed all 90 some pages of our documents for refinancing our home...very scary, especially right now...have no idea what is going to happen within the next year to two years. Hopefully we know more by November, but I'm praying it's good news and not bad news.
But I know that whatever does happen, it will all be ok...it may not be what we had planned but our worst case scenario is not as bad as some people have it everyday, so that is good.
Should be closing on Monday and that means no mortgage due next month...that will be a nice breather for us for a change, we can finally up our savings a little bit. Luke really wants to buy a bicycle and then get an attachment for Nash so that we can all go riding. Hopefully I can talk him into getting a non-expensive bike like mine. I think I am ready for summer to be over, even though the storms yesterday were really nice for a change.

Girls trip was so wonderful
I had the best time with the girls in San Diego...the drive was easier then I thought it would be, and we drove straight to the beach, parked and just enjoyed the view, had some lunch walked on the beach, to some shops and then drove to the hotel and checked in. I enjoyed the jacuzzi for a a little bit before we got cleaned up and went to dinner down in Gas Lamp District. Every where we ate we sat outside, the weather was just absolutely perfect! We shopped at Seaport Village on Friday and then headed back to get ready for the concert. The venue was awesome and the concert made me wonder why I stopped going to concerts. Love DMB and I forgot how much. Saturday we took our time getting up and checking out and then we headed back downtown to find a place for breakfast, after all the driving around, we ended up waiting 40minutes to eat and not even eating breakfast until 12pm, then we walked to Horton Plaza, a very cool mall that is outside, it was so much fun. I bought Nash a stuffed Shark, he seemed to like it on Sunday. The drive back was definitely odd, between the forest fire, the dust storm and the monsoon, but we made it home safely. Poor Nash is sick, not sure how he got it, hopefully it is just a cold. The girls left yesterday and back to work for me, so things are back to normal. Today we go sign the papers for our new loan after refinancing. Not looking forward to it at all! Looks like I will be spending this weekend, doing laundry and cleaning up the house and never ending cycle I guess. but next Wednesday we have another concert up in Phoenix, really, really looking forward to that!

one and half more days
I only have to get through this full work day and half day tomorrow and then my mini vacation begins! And yet I still have so much I need to get done, I really didn't get anything done yesterday, had to run to the store to pick up some last minute items for dinner last night and as soon as I got home , i straightened up the house and started cooking dinner. I have another round of PT tonight after work then I am meeting my Mom and Nash at Toys R Us...I'm still on the hunt to find him a swing we can hang from our overhang on the back porch. Plus I need to look at the wagons and decide which one we are going to get for Nash's birthday. Another busy day at work, trying to make sure I have nothing pending when I leave tomorrow. Luke and my Dad are playing golf this morning, I know Luke was looking forward to it, he doesn't get to play as much as he used too. The weather has been cooler here but a little more humid, we finally got some rain Sunday night, hopefully more this week, I'm hoping. I need to make sure I have all my directions and maps for our roadtrip...I think I am pretty prepared, but better double check. I'm gonna miss Nash while I'm gone, I already miss the dogs because they have been staying with my Mom all week. It's a strange feeling not having them around the house for that long of a time. But I know all my boys are in good hands while I'm gone having some much needed girl time with the cousins!

sick over the weekend
Well we went out to dinner at Guadalajara Grill, and apparently whatever I ate my stomach diagreed with and I was up sick by 330am, luckily Luke took Nash over to my mom before he had to be at work and the dogs were already over there, so I was able to sleep in and rest all day. Don't think it was food poisoning but I definitely will not be eating there anytime soon. Got a lot done yesterday and met Vianney and saw Eat Pray Love, and I really liked it and I want to get the soundtrack because all the music in it was great! Tonight I am cooking dinner for everyone..not sure what the plans are for tomorrow and then the girls will be here Wednesday..can't wait!
Lots to do between now and then. Gotta make sure Luke has food and Nash has clean clothes and plenty of food and diapers and make sure Maria knows she is watching him on Thursday only of this week. And things will be back to normal on Monday :(

Friday the 13th!
It's my mom's birthday, she was born on Friday the 13th, and it was news in the paper back then. Today she get's to spend her birthday with Nasher and Brewski and Bobby Lee, I know the boys are definitely happy being there.
Not sure what the rest of the weekend is going to bring, besides a Eat Prey Love with Vianney on Sunday evening, I can't wait!
Tonight we are going out to eat at Guadalajara Grill, really good Mexican food, I can't wait! I have not been there since April when Grandpa was in town.
I checked the weather for next week while we are in San Diego, and it literally is the definition of perfect weather, sunny, 70's 0% chance of rain, low in the high 60's, I mean it really doesn't get any better then that! I can't stop saying how excited I am, I'm afraid I will not want to leave after such a short stay. Emailed Anne today, to see how the pregnancy and new house is going. Andrea bought her first place and Eileen is moving to Hong Kong for 3 years, things are going so great for all my close friends, it is so great! I hope things continue to go good for us and don't get any worse, however I am starting to realize I can handle a lot more stress then I thought I could and I do believe it is making me stronger because of it. No matter what happens, our worst case scenario would never be as bad as some people are living now. And I try to think about that, knowing that Luke and I are both very lucky to have such big families and great friends that love us and Nash and the fur-babies ;)

abandon earth
How can Steven Hawking say that we as humans need to abandon earth...why can't people like him, keep that kind of information to themselves so it doesn't freak the rest of us out.
I'm starting to really be ready for summer to be over with. The little humidity we do have is bugging me and we haven't gotten any rain it seems like, so much for monsoon season. Had a good dinner last night at BJ's Brewhouse with Luke, Dad and Nash. Mom gets in tomorrow.
I actually get to make a trip to Wal-mart today with out Nash, so I should be able to get in and out much quicker and get home to relax. Once again I'm so tired, another night of restless tossing and turning and not really feeling like I ever went to sleep. Nash is pretty much the cutest kid EVER. He was so sweet when I went to lay him down to sleep last night, normally he fights it and cries and stands up in his crib. But last night he just laid there on his stomach clutching his Chihuahua dog and blanket, his eyes were open but he just laid there. It so cute.
Physical therapy went great yesterday, a nice long hour of relaxation, I almost wish I could do it every day to end my work day, that would be great!
Friday the 13th is Mom's birthday, I'm sure we will go out to eat for her birthday to celebrate.

no sleep
I can't quite figure out why, but the past few nights I have been getting no sleep. At first I thought it was from the anti-inflammatory prescription that I have from my doc for my back pain, so I didn't take any last night, but still couldn't sleep a wink. Heard Nash wake up a couple times, but he went right back to sleep. Each dog has to sleep on both sides, so I am sandwiched in between them and Luke and it gets hot very quickly between the 3 of them hogging the bed. Brewski insisted on getting up a couple times through night and drinking, which means I have to get up to open the bedroom door. Then he got up again at 3am him and Bobby and one of them knocked over the baby gate that we use for them, which made a loud crashing sound and woke up Nash, but luckily he went right back to sleep. And then i of course slept later then usual and gave my self very little time to get ready and not enough time to eat breakfast, got all the way to work and realized I can't not eat breakfast, so went and grabbed a sandwich and a sandwich for lunch as well, since I didn't make time to make my lunch either. The day is about over, just a few more minutes, then I'm off to my second PT appointment, actually really looking forward to it. Have no idea what is on the agenda for dinner tonight, not sure if we are meeting up with my Dad or not, he has been in Mexico all day, sent him a text earlier, but haven't heard back yet.

Addilyn arrived
Addilyn Marie Gossett, was born on Friday! Congrats to Brian and Kelsey! I can't wait to see her in person, sad to say that won't be until January...I'm sure she will have changed a lot by then
But glad we got at least one Gossett girl in this family. Nash was being a little stinker all weekend, probably sick of being cooped up in the house all weekend. I made Luke take us to In and Out burger for dinner last night and Nash had his first taste of french fries and he loved him.
I had to re-schedule his doc appointment to the 24th, so looks like we have to wait a little longer to find out what he weighs. But I'm going to start buying him the next size up in diapers, hopefully this will prevent all the diaper explosions with all the little gel balls that come out of it. Poor guy, I woke him up this morning and they were everywhere, all of him, all over the bed and his blankets.
This all made him even more grumpy then he normally is in the mornings.
Still waiting to find out whether are loan went through for this refinance thing. I'm really starting to get impatient with the whole process. It didn't take this long when we first bought the house.
Dad arrives in town tonight, probably be seeing him tomorrow at work..I think...not sure...
I think Luke is excited, because he is hoping to get some golf play in the next week, especially since I off to California next week! I have been waiting for this trip for like 6 months, so I am sooo ready to get out of this heat and see the ocean, and eat lots of good food, and see DMB and just enjoy some girl time with Em an Jess.
I have told myself that the only thing I will buy in CA will be for Nash :)

It's Friday, need I say more?!?
Thank goodness it's Friday! The news has been so depressing this week. Ready for a weekend of relaxing with Nash and maybe a little bit of cleaning. I hope it rains all weekend, we need it.
Like my brother, I'm considering going off the grid...sometimes I think I just need to not watch the news, not be on a computer, not check my email and not look at my phone. Maybe I will just watch movies all weekend, I usually don't get on the computer during weekends anyways unless I absolutely have too. I think facebook just makes me jealous of what others have and what I want. I don't remember feeling this way. Maybe it is better to just live life and not look at what other people are doing. I wonder if Facebook will eventually fizzle out just like myspace did..or even Twitter..I'm over Twitter anyways! I just like to get on there and see what Tom Hanks tweets because he shows you pictures while he is making a movie.
Luke confirmed last night that something will happen in November regarding his job. It's highly unlikely that the city tax will pass, meaning most people are not going to vote for another tax, after the state just passed a 3 year tax :( That I was no doubt pissed about, but I can't say anything because I didn't vote, so it was news to me when I saw that my car payment went up :(
Lots of officers will be cut and demoted, Luke shouldn't fall into that category but some form of pay cut is inevitable..his seargent is telling them to start being smart with money and saving and cutting back now to prepare for that time. I of course immediately got upset and stressed the minute he told me this, even though it doesn't happen for another few months. It totally stresses me out, I guess the best way to handle it would be to, start saving, cutting back and just hope for the best. It always seems like things are going ok, and then WHAM...another punch in the gut just to put us back in place...go figure!
I know things could always be worse and there are a lot of people who have it worse then us, but I certainly did not sign up to live such a stressful life when I should be enjoying every little thing at this age. Financial planning becomes a factor when baby planning as well. Just keep telling myself to be smart, spend smart and thank God everyday that I don't have shopping problem...or we would be in big trouble :)
On a lighter note, I am trying out a new recipe tonight...Pepperoni Chicken... looking forward to it. Really looking forward to next week when my parents are in town, it will be nice to have some family time with them and then Em and Jess will be here!
