gonna be a rough summer

So it was just made to clear to me today that we are really going to have to budget, budget this summer...just when I thought things were on the up...the seagull flies over my head and takes a big crap!!! It's going to be challenging, I have canceled some fun things that we take for granted...and have decided we will spend more time outside and less time inside...maybe it will be a good thing. More cooking at home, hopefully healthy cooking and we will even start making smoothies...that should be fun. I have even considered to making baby food...but I doubt that will happen. But it is an option if necessary. I'm thinking about borrowing a friends membership card to Costco and stocking up on somethings...I still have not figured out if buying in bulk is a good idea, I always just want to get through one week at a time. I'm hoping that starting with May things will start to settle down a bit and we won't have to spend so much money on eating out or entertaining. Luke even agreed to cancel Blockbuster for the next 4 months...I'm going to get a membership at the Library...get movies from there instead. I even cut back on my Proactiv...now that was a sacrafice for sure. No shopping for new clothes anytime soon...that is why it is so important for me to lose the rest of this baby weight so that I can fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes again :) then I don't need to buy any clothes. I just discovered that there is public pool, park and dog park near our house in Oro Valley...so I definitely want to take advantage of those things, and spend this summer outside more, especially the evenings, while it is comfortable outside. I'm interested to see how well Brewski and Bobby would do in a dog park...it could be scary. We'll get through it and like I told Luke, it won't be like this forever :) We have a lot to be thankful for right now:)

Larry Crowne

I have officially become obsessed with the movie Larry Crowne, ever since I started following Tom Hanks on Twitter...he is doing something really neat and taking pics on the set and really just giving us enough info or at least for me to keep interested about this movie that also stars Julia Roberts. Who doesn't love Tom Hanks and his wife Rita, who I am also following and she is just beatiful :) This movie isn't coming out until 2011, but I am ready for it, I really like the story line because it has a lot to with what people are going through in this recession, with losing their jobs and forced to find another job possibly in a field that is not their forte. Twitter is so great, it really lets you step into the lives of the celebs and see what they do on a daily basis, makes them seem more real and doesn't make my life seem so mundane...even though it's not AT ALL...every day is a different version, and always has some kind of drama, maybe good or maybe bad...but nothing I can never handle ;)

Bootcamp

I signed up for a bootcamp yesterday, it starts on Monday with orientation on Saturday. I know I am going to hate it big time, but it will be worth it and it's just up the street from my house at the park, so it couldn't be any closer for convenience:) But this also means I have up the amount of protein I'm eating an cut back on the carbs :( But I think it is very do-able... and it's only for the month and then if I want to continue I can sign up next month as well. I'm hoping I can get back into shape and then maintain it on my own after that, but we'll see. Work has been crazy busy, which is really nice, makes the day go by faster. Next weekend we have Abel and Paula's wedding, looking forward to that and Maria agreed to watch Nash for us, so that is a relief :)
Mother's Day is coming up next weekend too...no plans since Luke is working, but maybe we can go out to dinner that evening when he gets off work :) Either way I'm looking forward to celebrating!

April has come and gone..almost

April is almost over and it just flew by so fast...I have been staying pretty busy lately. Grandpa Sanders was in town over this past weekend. We spent Friday at Tombstone, just me him, and Nash and it was lots of fun, he bought Nash a cowboy hat and Sheriff Badge. Saturday we went to the Tucson Zoo...I had never been before, it is a really small zoo and it just happened to be Children's Day so admission was free, which we thought was a good thing, until we got inside and realized that everyone was at the zoo...so we were only there about an hour total. I will have to take Nash back when he is a little bigger...for the time being he just enjoyed being in his stroller and looking around at all the people and action that was happening. Took Gpa to the airport on Sunday, we was flying to Denver and spending a few days with Jason. I spent all my Sunday doing laundry, going to the grocery, working out in the yard. I'm thinking about joining a Bootcamp that goes on 3 times a week down at the park by my house. I am meeting with the gal today to find out more info about it and prices. Hopefully it won't be too expensive..but I have feeling it just might be...but we'll see. I really want to join! Not a whole lot else happening this week, things are starting to calm down I think, at least for this month, I always look forward to getting back on a regular schedule, especially for Nash's sake. I'm getting really excited about going home in about a month. It looks like for sure Luke will not be going with me and Nash on this trip, which is ok...but I just hope I can handle the whole airport thing by myself with an 8 month old :)

Friends and family

Have had lots of visitors lately..and it has been really nice. Last week Brian, Jason and Eileen were all in town. Eileen and I had a lot of fun, we went hiking at Catalina State Park...the place is literally 5 minutes away and I had never been there. We ate a lot of good food and had perfect weather.
I enjoyed have 5 days in a row off, although it went by really, really fast. I am glad to be back at work...and being productive. Whenever I am off work I tend to get nothing done. I need to get back into my work out routine as well. Next week Grandpa is supposed to come out and I'm hoping we can do some fun stuff and make a trip to Tombstone. It's too bad Luke has to work the whole time he is here. And then hopefully the month of May will be a little less busy and then I will be home in June. Hopefully that trip goes well, especially if Luke cannot go with me on the flights.
It will be a true test of how well I can handle stress with a 7 month old who is unpredictable and no one to help me. But a week at home is worth it.

long weekend

Thank goodness for 3 day weekends...even though Luke has to work the next 3 days...he will at least be home in the evenings. Excited to see Andrea this weekend as well..always fun to catch up with her. Looks like I am going to have to buy another charger for my cell phone since Bobby chewed mine up...I really thought he had out grown that and that it was just a puppy phase...apparently he is still bad :)
Today is rainy and cold...but tomorrow is suppose to be nice and a nice weekend ahead for Easter.
I'm thinking I should walk down to the park with Nash and the boys sometime soon, we have not been in a while. Now that my legs have finally recovered from the marathon, I need to get back to my workout regimen...but with the business of next week, I'm not sure how easy that is gonna be...hopefully Luke and can help out and pick up Nash from the sitters a couple times so I can get to the gym...or I may have to sacrafice my Friday and Saturday evenings to the gym.
All is quiet here at work today, except the phones are ringing a lot...Both Erika and Juan are gone for the day, I will be leaving around 2pm as well...
We are finally somewhat on track with our finances....and can go back to save, save, save...although I would like to treat myself to a little mini shopping spree sometime soon.
I just need to lose these last 10 lbs of baby weight....argh! Pretty frustrating! :)
