This past weekend seemed to just fly by. I felt like all I did was eat, watch movies and clean.
I find myself cleaning up Nash's toys for him to only come right behind me and take them all out, it's like a never ending cycle.
I rearrange his room a bit on Saturday, decided he is too big for us to change his diaper on the changing table, so I moved his change pad to the ground. He seems to be less fidgety on the ground as well.
Made homemade beef stew for dinner last night, it was really good.
Worked out Friday night but then went home and ate pizza...not the best decision. I have been eating pop tarts like crazy, probably shouldn't buy them, but Luke got me hooked on the Brown sugar and cinnamon ones, love them!
I also am addictive to getting myself a large ice tea from McD's every work morning. I can't help myself, it's like it's my coffee or something. I practically paid in all pennies this morning, I'm sure the drive thru people just love me for that one.
I really don't want to work out tonight because I have to go a whole hour later then I normally would but know that I should because I can't on Friday after work, since one of my good friends will be in town.
This is a never ending battle with working out...not working out....YUCK! Probably get back into once the weather gets nicer and much warmer. But for now, it's so hard to even enjoy it.
Still liking this cooler weather that blew in this weekend, hopefully it lasts for just a little bit longer.

FAIL
Last's night dinner was a big fail...and tonight will be even worse, I apparently did not plan well when I went to the grocery last week because we have run out of food and I forgot to take the turkey out of the freezer for tonight's dinner, so it will be one of those "fend for yourself" type of evenings and I know we don't have much to eat. Can't spend money, won't spend money, we get paid tonight and I'm hoping it is a lot! Still need to get on track with getting our taxes done, just another thing on my to-do list.
So tired yesterday, didn't want to work, but couldn't come up with a good enough excuse to not go, besides I would have felt guilty not going. And once again I don't want to go tonight either, my body is dragging, I'm sleepy, but I need to workout, I just made a big to-do about only being able to work out twice a week and it just wasn't cutting it, so I was trying to get in there on Friday and Saturday and Monday now too. Ugh!
You would think this warmer weather would be motivating...NOT at all.
I was just about to go make a run to McD's to get me an Ice Tea..I crave them now, but decided I would save my $1 worth of change for another day.
I think tonight we will try to watch a movie, either the Last Exorcism or Despicable Me. Tough choice.
Def gotta record all the good shows on tonight! Love Wednesday TV!

80 degrees!
We had a warm almost even hot weekend, it was crazy...and today is suppose to be a warm Valentine's Day as well.
Nash and I enjoyed the weather Saturday and played outside, now he is obsessed with being out there and throws a fit when I have to bring him inside.
He was even walking on the rocks last night with no shoes on while Luke was grilling out, didn't seem to bother him at all.
Considering I still have no debit/check card, going on over 2 weeks now, I did not leave the house all weekend except to workout Saturday night. Probably better that I didn't spend any money anyways.
But overall it was still a good weekend, I was kind of lazy, which is always nice for a change. We watched the Grammy's last night, I kind of tuned in and out and was doing laundry and watching OWN, Oprah's new network that she has, there are some pretty good shows on there.
Today is Valentine's Day and for the life of me I cannot remember at all what we did last year, I don't think we did anything, but I just don't even remember Valentine's Day last year.
This year we got a sitter for the night and made plans to go out to dinner and see a movie. The usual for us, but it makes us both happy.
Luke was excited to inform me that in March I get paid 5 times and he gets paid 3 times, looks like I just found the other half of my Vegas trip money :) I already got half set aside...getting very excited for a little getaway trip, even though it' still 3 months away, I know it will come fast.
Nothing more yet on the latest with Luke's job he is applying for. I think he is waiting for a phone call, hopefully that will come this week.
One of my best friends Andrea is coming into town next week. I have no idea how long she is staying, but so happy that she is coming out and gets to see Nash, he is going to love playing with her and having conversations with her, can't wait and of course to have a little girl time will be nice as well.
Even though the weather is nice now, it looks like it will cool off again late next week, which I am totally ok with, I'm really just not ready for things to warm up until at least March.
I have no in between wardrobe at this point and I really want to hold off on buying any new clothes for awhile if I can.
Have kind of come to the realization that if Luke gets this job, we won't be able to make the Hawaii trip for Tim's wedding. A little bummed, but like I told Luke last night, the first chance we get to go take a vacation just the two of us, Hawaii is where we are going! I would rather go just me and him anyways :) Maybe it can be a 4 or 5 year anniversary gift to ourselves.

Green Check Mark
We have been waiting for the latest green check mark for the most recent step in the hiring process for Luke since December, seems like forever, but he finally got it today. Now he is awaiting a phone call, which hopefully comes today or tomorrow. Things are looking good, but I always hate to jump the gun or assume anything, but I hope all the good things continue.
On a totally different note, today is grocery day and I'm loathing our weekly visit to Wal-Mart, considering I was just there on Saturday. Which was a huge mistake to go the day before the Super Bowl with everyone stocking up for their parties.
But I do have to say the check out gal was very speedy, much faster then the Thursday workers they have there.
No plans this weekend, the weather is suppose to be nice, hopefully that means a couple trips to the park with Nash, we haven't been in a while. I know he is gonna want to walk everywhere, he had a ball just walking around our back yard on Monday, but he just gets going so fast on those rocks and he did fall a couple of times, but I'm afraid with the bigger rocks in the yard he will trip on them.
Monday is Valentine's Day and we have no plans, Luke wants to see if we can get a sitter for the evening and do dinner and a movie, I would like that, but we'll see what happens.
I'm loving my Fit Bit, but having a hard time of meeting the 10,000 steps a day goal, so far the highest I have gotten was just over 8300 steps and that was after running 2 miles and walking 1 mile.
Maybe I can try to reach that this weekend, I'm def more mobile during the day at home then I am here sitting at my desk for 8 hours.
We watched a really good movie the other night, called Let Me In, I think it's a really bad title, but it was surprisingly good, gruesome at times, but kind of a love story too, I liked it a lot, I like unexpected good movies like that. Em said she thinks it was a remake from an older movie, definitely seems like it.
I watched Oprah yesterday while running on the treadmill and she has all these well known Soap Opera stars on there, and it reminded me the days when I used watch soaps during the summers and then when I was in college, my roommate and I would watch Passions, which is no longer on TV, but it was definitely a kooky show. Not sure why I can't really get back into them anymore, usually I could just turn them on even after not watching for a while, but not so much anymore.
In fact daytime TV seems dull, I noticed while I was home in Indy and just trying to find something to watch was not all that easy. It was either a talk show, a court show or re-runs, BLAH.
Nash has been a little devil lately, throwing unnecessary fits for no reason, getting into all my kitchen drawers and cabinets, putting his toys in the fridge, putting his juice cups in the cabinets, and putting toys in my shoes, I keep finding things in my shoes when I go to put them on. He also hit Luke in the forehead last night with his toy cell phone, it sounded like it really hurt:)
But Luke did teach him to say Bobby ( as in our dog Bobby Lee)
he says Bob Beeeee, it's so cute, we heard him in his crib last night just saying Bobeee, Bobeeee, Bobeee...over and over and over. I need to get it on video.
Now that he is so mobile, we can't get him to sit still at all and our last trip to Wal-mart he jabbered the whole time, I mean the whole time, would not be quiet, he has so much to say, it was so funny.

to Indy and back
Well we made our trip to Indy and it ended up being an extended one, which was fine by me.
A big ice storm him the mid-west and we got stuck for a few extra days, I didn't mind, because we got to relax for a change and not have to be anywhere at any certain time, it was nice. Luke and I got to go watch a couple movies at the theater and not have to worry about paying a babysitter.
I had a good 30th birthday, with family and a few close friends. I got to see Anne's house and meet Olivia. Got to go to the farm and Nash got to see the baby cows and the horses. We definitely got to experience the cold weather and snow and I enjoyed it while we were there. Now back in Tucson, it is in the 70's and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. but very, very windy.
Nash got to meet his cousin Addilyn and play with Abram, it was so cute.
Hard to believe they really aren't that far a part in age.
I have no idea when we will be able to come home next, I would say summer time, but I have no idea if or how things will change by then.
Circumstances eventually make it harder for anyone to come visit us out here, which makes me sad, but hopefully we don't have to worry about that for too long.
Spent my weekend doing laundry and cleaning the house. I missed the dogs while we were gone and worried about them a lot. But they are fine and were so happy to see us.
Nash did as I expected on the planes, we had a little trouble with him and the pressure bothering his ears, to be expected, but can be so stressful, especially for the " Dad" :)
I look forward to when he is older and we have to travel, but not looking forward to paying for another airline ticket, I'm not sure we will be able to afford it :(
Things are finally some what back to normal and we are back into our normal routines, which I hate to say it, but it is nice.
Valentine's Day is coming up on Monday, we of course have no plans and I don't see us doing anything, maybe go out to eat with Nash in tow :)
Andrea is coming out to visit this month, looking forward to seeing her, I know Nash is going to love her!
