Cooler weather has arrived

Since the weekend we have had perfect weather and even lots of rain, it's odd this time of year, but I am loving it. Too bad I can't go get the Huntsman boots that I really want, or I guess I could, but I might be looked at oddly. This morning it was actually a little chilly, I guess I need to start watching the weather instead of assuming it is going to be hot and sunny.
Luke and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday. I came home to big vase of flowers, with lots of Lillies, my favorite and a new copy of my new favorite movie "It's Complicated" I can't wait to watch it. Over the weekend we had a garage sale on Saturday, I had a lot of stuff and a lot of good clothes, we made less then $50 and $40 of it went to the babysitter we had Saturday night while Luke and I went out to dinner and a movie. We enjoyed some Outback and then saw that movie "The Town" it was really good. It was a late night, and Sunday Luke let me sleep in while he watched Nash, I don't remember the last time I was able to sleep in, I forgot how nice it is. It was pretty much a lazy day. Luke went to Riskys to watch the Colts game, and I stayed home with Nash and watched HBO all day. We got HBO back for the next 6 months. I also forgot how nice it is to have HBO.
Yesterday Luke put together Nash's Radio Flyer wagon and we just had to put him in it to test it out, he LOVES it. But it is his birthday present so I'm gonna hold off on more rides, I need to fill it up with all the toys and clothes that I have been buying since June :)
We went to Applebees last night to take advantage of the 2 for $20 meal deal they have, it was pretty good, then we went over to the Party City so I could look at some stuff for Nash's birthday party. I picked up a few things for the goody bags for the kids, but I don't want to commit to too much until I know for sure who is coming.
Last week we received some good news, or at least we think it is good news involving the lay offs.
The US Department of Justice has chosen Tucson Police Department as one of the agencies they are giving money too. They get $12 million which will pay for 50 officers salaries for the next 3 years, so we think this means that Luke will not be getting laid off and hopefully no one else from his academy class as well.
But the Chief said nothing will be done with the money until after November elections, they are still waiting to see if that 1/2 cent tax will go through. So things around here are a lot less stressful that is for sure. After refinancing and not having to pay a mortgage payment last month, we were able to put that money in our savings, so that we now have a tiny bit of a cushion should we need it. Now I need to start focusing on my Christmas shopping for Nash, got to make it a good one this year since it's just us.
We still don't know what the future holds regarding Luke's employment, things could change within the next year for better I hope or they could stay the same, which I would be totally fine with, I love our house. But we are looking towards the future and looking at different options, very exciting times could be ahead of us.
