We have been waiting for the latest green check mark for the most recent step in the hiring process for Luke since December, seems like forever, but he finally got it today. Now he is awaiting a phone call, which hopefully comes today or tomorrow. Things are looking good, but I always hate to jump the gun or assume anything, but I hope all the good things continue.
On a totally different note, today is grocery day and I'm loathing our weekly visit to Wal-Mart, considering I was just there on Saturday. Which was a huge mistake to go the day before the Super Bowl with everyone stocking up for their parties.
But I do have to say the check out gal was very speedy, much faster then the Thursday workers they have there.
No plans this weekend, the weather is suppose to be nice, hopefully that means a couple trips to the park with Nash, we haven't been in a while. I know he is gonna want to walk everywhere, he had a ball just walking around our back yard on Monday, but he just gets going so fast on those rocks and he did fall a couple of times, but I'm afraid with the bigger rocks in the yard he will trip on them.
Monday is Valentine's Day and we have no plans, Luke wants to see if we can get a sitter for the evening and do dinner and a movie, I would like that, but we'll see what happens.
I'm loving my Fit Bit, but having a hard time of meeting the 10,000 steps a day goal, so far the highest I have gotten was just over 8300 steps and that was after running 2 miles and walking 1 mile.
Maybe I can try to reach that this weekend, I'm def more mobile during the day at home then I am here sitting at my desk for 8 hours.
We watched a really good movie the other night, called Let Me In, I think it's a really bad title, but it was surprisingly good, gruesome at times, but kind of a love story too, I liked it a lot, I like unexpected good movies like that. Em said she thinks it was a remake from an older movie, definitely seems like it.
I watched Oprah yesterday while running on the treadmill and she has all these well known Soap Opera stars on there, and it reminded me the days when I used watch soaps during the summers and then when I was in college, my roommate and I would watch Passions, which is no longer on TV, but it was definitely a kooky show. Not sure why I can't really get back into them anymore, usually I could just turn them on even after not watching for a while, but not so much anymore.
In fact daytime TV seems dull, I noticed while I was home in Indy and just trying to find something to watch was not all that easy. It was either a talk show, a court show or re-runs, BLAH.
Nash has been a little devil lately, throwing unnecessary fits for no reason, getting into all my kitchen drawers and cabinets, putting his toys in the fridge, putting his juice cups in the cabinets, and putting toys in my shoes, I keep finding things in my shoes when I go to put them on. He also hit Luke in the forehead last night with his toy cell phone, it sounded like it really hurt:)
But Luke did teach him to say Bobby ( as in our dog Bobby Lee)
he says Bob Beeeee, it's so cute, we heard him in his crib last night just saying Bobeee, Bobeeee, Bobeee...over and over and over. I need to get it on video.
Now that he is so mobile, we can't get him to sit still at all and our last trip to Wal-mart he jabbered the whole time, I mean the whole time, would not be quiet, he has so much to say, it was so funny.
